1. If you have a brief discussion you can do 2 ways with replays or with a quote

2. If the discussion is very long almost half tread or one tread, don't comment with the quote, because later it will look like spam. Better with replay.

I think so. Even some comments that only quote. No comment. I think it's useless. Very many do it only to raise ranks below the Junior Members.

Actually, if you want to quote you can make it short to be able to quote without spamming. Instead of quoting the whole you can make it <....> or <snip> that's what I read from higher ranks advice about quoting post.

Replay is to "play back a recording on tape, video, or film and repeat something, especially an event or sequence of events. This is what I found about replay.

They press quote and write their comments then post. Most noticeable is the Announcement section or Bounty section. They quote all things that occupy a half page and comment 1 sentence. It's waste too much time to scroll down.

What does that replay means? I know you have something to say but you just included the wrong word. Don't comment too if you don't have something to say or add to the discussion.

As you can see, It is also possible to select the part of a comment you wish to quote.

people will understand it, just like reading a written conversation

if you need to use quote, do it effectively by selecting the necessary part only
only quote the related content that you want to respond to and remove the rest
