This thread is for the discussion of the up coming auction for 2 x BFL Singles in-hand in Australia, starting bid 0.098BTC. Details of the auction will be finalise here before creating a 7 day auction in the Auctions board. Feel free to post your questions or interests here.

Description:
On auction, are two Butterfly Labs Singles (advertised 50GHs each) in-hand in Sydney, Australia. Real world hashing rates are ~60GHs each. Their advertised power consumption is 300W each and I have yet to measure the power at the wall.

Items will be shipped as shown in pictures. That is, no casing, screws, brackets, cables, PSU or other fans are included in this auction. Modified fans have replaced the originals. They are in the same state as I received them. I did not make the modifications. Appropriate packaging will be used to ensure safe delivery of devices.

One Single has sustained physical damage (as shown in pictures). Its two power connectors do not have the locking latch and two white connectors have been bent 45 degrees upwards. As far as I can tell, there is no impairment to the device's hashing capabilities. The highest bidder will get the non-damaged device.

Starting bid:
2@0.049btc (total 98mBTC or 0.098BTC)

Bidding increments:
1mBTC (0.001BTC)

Auction rules
Post your bids in the Auctions board when it's up. Prices must be stated in BTC per device. You must state the max number of devices you want. When the auction ends, the highest bidders will have their devices shipped to them the next working day via Australia Post Express Post.

I reserve the right to reject bids, even days after the bid is made. In particular, bids from people with less than 15 activity points are likely to be rejected. I recommend not getting into a bidding war with someone who has less than 15 activity points, as their bids might not be accepted, but your latest bids will still stand. If you need to know right away whether someone's bids will be accepted, PM me.

So if someone bids for 2 devices @ 1 BTC and this is the highest bid, then he'll get all both devices. If the two highest bids are 2 device @ 2 BTC and 1 device @ 3 BTC, then the first person will get 1 device and the second person will get 1 device.

The notation "2 @ 1" means 2 device for 1 BTC each. Not 2 device for 1 BTC total.

- When you post a bid, the bids in your previous posts are considered to be automatically cancelled.
- All bid prices must be evenly divisible by 1mBTC (0.001BTC).
- The bidding starts at 2 devices for a total of 98mBTC (0.098BTC). e.g. 2@0.049
- I will end the auction at a [Date & Time TBC]
- If two people bid at the same price, the person who bid first will have his device first.
- Bids are considered invalid and will be ignored if they do not specify both a price and a max quantity, or if they could not possibly win any device.

If these rules are confusing, look at some of the past forum ad auctions to see how it's done (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=482060).

You must pay for your device within 24 hours of receiving the payment address. Otherwise your device may be sold to someone else.

Delivery
Free and is posted via Australia Post Express Post on the next working day after receiving full amount in payment address (or escrow confirms).
If you do not want this posted within Australia, do not bid for this auction.
If the postal address is not on the Express Post delivery network, expect delays in delivery if you win the auction.

Buy it now:
None

End date and time:
TBC

Payment methods accepted:
Bitcoins

Escrow:
Preferred not to use, but if you insist, you pay for fees, both parties must agree to a mutual escrow provider.
You have 24 hours from receiving goods to confirm with escrow the device is in working order and to release the coins to my nominated address.
I prefer to use Graet.

Tx fees:
All parties involved must pay at lease 0.0001BTC tx fees when transmitting on the Blockchain to ensure speedy process of transaction.

Proof I own the devices:
What? Pictures arn't good enough?
I bought the devices from conman. If he wishes, he shall make him self known here.

So just to confirm before I even consider buying, these have no PSU and thus aren't working?
How do you power it and it is optimal, what would a buyer need to do to get it running.
Where abouts in AUS are you, would make arranging purchase easier.

Thats all for now. Thanks!

These do not have PSU included but will work with any standard ATX PSU (most PC will use this type of power supply).

Each BFL unit requires 2 x 6pin ATX PCIe cables to power the unit.

A standard USB cable to connect the unit to a PC. You will need mining s/w to hash with too (I recommend cgminer).

I am located in Carlingford, NSW(2118).

Here's a picture of how I've connected the units up to hash. Only thing missing from the pic is my Laptop.

Hi all, thank you for your interests, just like to clarify a few points I made in OP...

Starting bid:
2@0.049btc (total 98mBTC or 0.098BTC)

Auction rules
You must state the max number of devices you want.

The notation "2 @ 1" means 2 device for 1 BTC each. Not 2 device for 1 BTC total.

- Bids are considered invalid and will be ignored if they do not specify both a price and a max quantity, or if they could not possibly win any device.

If these rules are confusing, look at some of the past forum ad auctions to see how it's done (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=482060).

Current valid bid is -
I want one for 0.13

Sorry for the confusion, but the units are up for grabs individually too.

Happy bidding Cheesy

Lets try the counter again...  Tongue

Auction ends: Sunday, 16th March, 2014 at 8:00pm
Timer removed. End time: 2014-03-16+09:00:00UTC

* Use of count down timer should only be used as guide. Bids times are base on server time and I reserve the right to make the final call on any judgements. I've already notice something odd with the timer. Not sure if it's working right.

Current winning bids:
