Forum member tried to frame me after his 10 connected accounts being revealed

After I have found 10 Jr. Member accounts being used by one person in same signature campaign and reported that in Reputations topic "Known Alts of any-one - A User Generated List Mk III (2018 Q3)" person tried to threaten me in telegram chat and demanded to delete post with proof.

Further on he said, that he will frame my account by copy/pasting my posts and use my ETH wallet in his own posts, so that bounty managers would think that I'm somehow connected with this several alts, which would lead firstly to being banned from bounty, secondly receiving negative trust.

This is explained in the 2 following screenshots (they are in Russian, but with little help they can be translated).

When his demand was not fulfilled he started to use his "setting-me-up" strategy by copy/pasting posts.

I have already contacted bounty managers and warned that someone tried to frame me or use fake reports to get reward.

He even used my bounty signature, joined this bounty and set my ETH wallet to his profile.



Despite being using other ETH wallet few days ago in other signature campaign. bounty with other ETH wallet.




Some actions should be taken against such persons by high trust rank members.

It baffles me why you didn't just message the campaign manager or make a new account to report him (either that or pm a more senior member to take it up).

But with any luck, a DT will come and paint him red for you...

I have reported him to campaign manager. He is taking to action. I suppose he will do it when he will start calculating stakes, or when this week ends.

I dint make a new account to report him, because I wasn't thinking that it could turn that way. Who knows how creating new account would turn out in future. Maybe some "smart guys" will try to connect it to multi accounts and use it against me.

I reported all accounts to moderator, as this is blatant copy/paste of other people's posts. If you ask me all these accounts should be banned, but to be honest I am not sure moderator will take this https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=2544574.msg44867408#msg44867408 as a solid proof of connection.

The accounts that copy/paste are banned because they violated the intellectual property rights of your words. This means that those who copy will be banned and not you.
Also, using the same addresses is not enough evidence to be tagged "if the writing style is different, you will be safe."


I do not know what if this threat is enough to be banned?

If to sum up the conversation on Russian from telegram, he told me:

That if I dont delete my post, I will face consequences. When I asked what he is intend to do - he told me that he knows methods to frame me, because he already used that strategy to get higher results in bounty.

"Try to understand, that is enough to put your data (means reports/accounts/wallets) in different bounty campaign to easily drew a bound between you and them, so that manager mark you as a multi account user and kick you out"

When I asked him to "get smart, you got caught, just forget about the accounts", he answered me, that he doesn't care about them, but I must be punished and this is a matter of principle. I could forget about my account and start new one, because I will get "painted red for using alts in bounty".

Also he confirmed, that he bought them. If to look at conversation further, he told that I "should wait for a post from bought accounts with proofs and evidents of me using alts accounts in bounty" (don't exactly understand how he gonna do that).

Btw, he was not smart enough, and told that frequently he/they use that kind of frame method in blogging bounties to get rid of competitors in bounty and get more stakes.

This is true, all copy/pasting is against the rules and will lead to his accounts all being permabanned. This will mean he's just gone and dug a deeper hole for himself...

That's good, let's just hope they respond positively to it and the mods permaban him for the copy/pasting thing...

And no, alt accounts aren't considered to be held by scammers. There are a lot of epople who have then, I have quite a few and don't do so mcuh with the others (one's used as a parser and a couple are fairly dormnant). And he is in no way a smart guy if he has to come here with several alt accounts and try to claim from the same bounty.

You must be new around here... And you obviously haven't looked at the "known alts" thread.

They're red tagging people as alts simply for sending each other ERC-20 tokens. 

There is a reason of lot of people are anonymously reporting, to prevent this kind of retaliation. The extortionist claiming they purposely get "competitors" tagged and banned doesn't come as much of a surprise either. There is no limit to how low people will go when $$$ are on the line

Reporting people is kind of a dilemma in here. Making a new account is the best solution to dodge what is OP going through right now. I considered this as a bad situation because all you want to do is helping the forum but this is all you got for the good deed you have done and it is frustating. But sometimes people do this kind of reporting with the intention to get merits, which I think is reasonable and it is okay for me because they do a lot of job in the process, but if you do the report on the new account, merits will likely goes to your new account, which is a bummer if you want to get merits in your main account.
