Wow... why is the price climbing some much again... on all exchanges (european+asian checked)?
Do you think it might be due to ukraine possible war? Or the bank problems in ukraine?

lol... thats just stupid... its a sudden sharp grow...something must be behind it... either the russia/ukraine thing, or people are buying more coins after the situation with mtgox is clear and over, and bitcoin had survived it+its quite cheap so people start massively buying... Or we have insiders buying because they know that war or global economic collapse is behind the door :-)... EDIT: omg... 100 dolars up in just few hours ? (1-3)? We have a war comming people :-)!

Panic buys are not any better than panic sells. It's obvious that Bitcoin is not good as a transactional currency with these crazy swings.

maybe people are starting to realize that the problems have been with the exchange and NOT with bitcoin.

There hasn't been some exciting good news, so who knows. Maybe people have started waking up?

I think the situation with Gox was depressing the market and now that we have a known outcome (bankruptcy) the market can move on.

everything has a reason, knowing the reason for things enables us to has a sense of stability I've got my finger on the market, I did not expect such an enormous jump in the market it is clearly a manipulation however by who and how Don't get me wrong, I appreciate the surge, but I also know it's just that a surge, it's not a true gain for btc because there is no apparent reason for the up tick. I accidentally purchased at 596 when I was trying to sell at 596 so I did both and now it looks like both were good moves

665$, we can't support a too high growth rate anyway (5-10% would be more stable).

if that was the case the markets would have responded earlier, as we expected. This is certainly not a market correction, it's a market surge based on a concerted effort The Gox matter is still a major unkown because it isn't about the bankruptcy it's about the "missing money" and our inability to find it This surge is a needed cold rain on a hot arid day

It only makes sense. Poker winnings are not taxed in UK, unlike other EU countries. UK has more lenient approach in these matters.
