A Young Adult's Bitcoin Art Project

Hello everyone. Without revealing too much details, for privacy and all that important stuff. I would like to introduce a Bitcoin art project started by a young adult. I thought at the same time this could be a simple case study of how the next generation understands Bitcoin. Call it a hobby or a side project out of pure curiosity.

A bio of sorts: The artist is 11, from Southeast Asia, drawing and sketching are hobbies and no formal learning with art, but considering it soon.

Bitcoin background: First exposure this year, watching a Bitcoin spend to buy an item online. English is a second language. Other than that, there has been no Bitcoin knowledge given, but the artist has been encouraged to do own research for art. So do expect that the art isn't necessarily "accurate".

Why Bitcoin art?: The artist has about 3 years' worth of art, draws experiences and popular culture. Bitcoin happens to be the current pop culture, as the artist sees it.

Your comments are valued and will be passed on. More drawings will be coming, I have no schedule for them, however. Offers to buy will also be entertained but only with Bitcoin; you will receive the original digital image, signed, as well as a note from the artist. Funds will go a Bitcoin wallet the artist will create should there be any sells.

Very pleased to report that the first art has been sold on this forum! The interest came in only a few hours from this post. Very exciting for the artist, naturally, as the buyer is from halfway across the world and probably all the more so since it was sold for Bitcoin.

Somewhat exciting for me too as I helped broker the deal in a sense... the forum has been kind and hopefully, after some years, the artist will open an own account here and participate more directly.

More artwork will be uploaded by next weekend, I'm hoping this first sale will encourage the artist to do more, though at the moment doesn't need further motivation to draw!

I would suggest selling exclusive physical prints along with the digital along with a certificate of authenticity signed by the artists BTC address. I find a COA almost always helps sell any art piece, and the Bitcoin signature can be used to help verify authenticity. Also a physical print gives the customer something to physically hold so they feel like they got something for their money. I know it will cost more, but it will also end up in more sales Just my 2 cents. Good luck!

I'll admit I'm totally clueless about how artists should go about it but I'll definitely have a look at physical prints, never printed anything more than a photo, so yes, I think we'll experiment with how they look like on paper and see if it looks better than on a computer. Now the BTC address and signature is of course doable but this COA... definitely new to me. Looking online seems to suggest it's something that can be done easily, is it also normally given to the purchaser even for digital art, and would that typically be a physical copy?

Indeed, your purchase came as a pleasant surprise and has inspired some chatter around Bitcoin between the artist and siblings, none of it very academic, but kids will be kids!

I just wanted to update you here also, we decided that we would show appreciation for our first purchaser by including a COA, as kindly suggested above. So this will add several days more delay, but rest assured we aim to ship out to you physical print plus the CoA at no extra cost, by the end of next week. I hope the delay doesn't worry you, we simply want to add value to your purchase and hope you'll agree the extra wait will be worth it!

I would suggest a high quality laser printer, you can keep the costs pretty low and the results can be quite nice if the colors are balanced right. Don't overthink the COA too much. Find a few examples online and try to reproduce it. Basically it is just a piece of physical paperwork you will issue to go along with the work so some one has one document that lists all the relevant details to a potential future buyer, raising its resale value, and therefore your original sale value
