The PP of Greece (established 2 years ago scoring 0,51% in Greek elections)
has launched a croud-funding campaign to get the needed 35 BTC or 1500 LTC
in order to print ballot papers for the next European Parliament Elections in May.

(in Greece parties are required to print and pay the ballot papers and shipment-delivery by their own means, there's no state funding for small parties)
In case this amount is not gathered by the end of March, they won't be able to participate.
If the final amount is not gathered and the party doesn't make it to the EU elections, you may request your coins back.

Here's a brief of the core PPEU ideas http://elections.pirateparty.gr/?page_id=477

Here's a European spot made by the PP of Greece http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_P7l8j7Yw5w

So, if want to promote the Pirate Ideas, please help at the BTC & LTC addresses mentioned here:
https://www.pirateparty.gr/donate/

Better name? Do you have any idea what that party is and why was it founded in the first place?

http://piratetimes.net/greek-pirates-participation-in-eu-elections-depends-on-crowdfunding/

Considering the awful economic situation that still is making the lives of the Greek people a misery, it is courageous of the Greek Pirate Party to plan to take part in the European Parliament elections.

The Party was founded two years ago and since then it has participated in the twin national elections in May and June of 2012 where they managed to get 0.51% of the vote at a cost of EUR 35,000.

The European Elections will require a more modest sum, namely EUR 16,000. However two years on from the national elections there is less money in Greek pockets. In order to make donating as easy as possible, PPGR has set up two web sites. One for simple donations and another for crowdfunding

If you are not a Greek speaker then the simple donation page is probably the easiest. You can donate by bank transfer, Paypal, Bitcoin and Litecoin.

I want the Pirate Party to win seats in the next Euro Elections. How many seats are there in Greece? What is the cut-off percentage?

The PP of Greece (established 2 years ago scoring 0,51% in Greek elections)
has launched a croud-funding campaign to get the needed 35 BTC or 1500 LTC
in order to print ballot papers for the next European Parliament Elections in May.

It is great news that they are accepting BTC donations. But I urge everyone to study the various Pirate Parties closer. Let's look at which one is having the maximum chances to win a MEP seat.

Pirate part is not the best name since not everyone want to support piracy

Who said that the Pirate Party is only for people who want piracy to be made legal?

Pirate party supports the reform of copyright and patent law, free sharing of knowledge (open content), information privacy, transparency, freedom of information and network neutrality.

21 seats, no cut-off percentage as far as I know, it's not only about electing a MEP right now,
but also working for the future and positioning the party in front of millions of voters

Example from May 2012 elections

http://www.flashnews.gr/Uploads/%CE%95%CE%93%CE%93%CE%A1%CE%91%CE%A6%CE%91/%CE%A8%CE%97%CE%A6%CE%9F%CE%94%CE%95%CE%9B%CE%A4%CE%99%CE%91/%CE%9A%CE%9F%CE%9C%CE%9C%CE%91-%CE%A0%CE%95%CE%99%CE%A1%CE%91%CE%A4%CE%A9%CE%9D-%CE%95%CE%9B%CE%9B%CE%91%CE%94%CE%91%CE%A3.jpg-YDAT.jpg

And of course it's NOT about "piracy to be made legal"
Please read "The PPEU Manifesto"

I want the Pirate Party to win seats in the next Euro Elections. How many seats are there in Greece? What is the cut-off percentage?
