ok... is it ok if we fix and fork the coin ? while dev AWOL ? i will try to copy/paste code from Darkcoin's Dark Gravity Wave ? should we wait a bit for the dev? it's not like he is gone for month.. Looks like BCC is using Kimoto gravity well which has a vulnerability. The exchanges are all disabling coins with KGW until they are patched. Looks like the dev hasn't been logged in since march 23rd?
Anyone able to get ahold of him for a patch?
I can probably patch myself but someone will need to help me compile for Windows how about Digishield ? or maybe disable the KGW and use normal retarget.. every XXX blocks ? I can help you in compiling it for windows.

Any fool can write code that a computer can understand. Good programmers write code that humans can understand.

The problem with the developer leaving is not just the code/blockchain. Without a developer to move the coin forward outside of just the programming where is the value?

I am re-enabling BCC on cryptoaltex today. If you have coins there please withdraw them as i will be delisting soon.
If you do not remove your coins your trade will be canceled and you will receive an email from us asking for an address to send your remaining coins to.
Thanks,
Chiznitz CryptoALTeX

The code has not been updated to patch KGW, even before I turned it off there was 0 volume for weeks. The developer is no longer supporting this coin. We cannot support coins that have vulnerable code and no developers to contact when issues arise. Who is pushing this coin forward in the community? Who is updating the code? The answer I've seen is nobody, I emailed the developer a month ago asking for him to contact me back and I have not received anything, besides a cease & desist letter from another BCC coin.

I will open a new thread to fix this coin, and changing BCC to something else is very easy there are 2 more coins which use BCC... but this coin was the first to be traded in cryptoaltex and cryptorush. this is not nice.. on the beginning this coin made you some fees (if you take trading fees) and now that its not being traded you just delete it ? of course no one who bought it for thousands of satoshis will want to sell it for 1 satoshi

The developer paid us a bounty after we listed the coin. The coin was not voted in. We allowed BCC giveaways etc to operate from the exchange which trigger audit alerts and used up resources that we didn't need to allow. We've been supportive of this coin all along while there was a developer. The developer has not logged in for a month now. We have not had any trades, we have made very little in fees from this coin, there was a total volume on boschi of 2.06BTC, that is 0.007416BC in fees. It costs us more for the CPU cycles, data, etc to host this coin then what it has made in fees. There was also the case of a Cease & Desist that came from an actual lawfirm to remove BoschiCoin as BCC. The developer has not responded to this and I will not be caught in the middle of some legal pissing match. There is absolutely no reason or case for this coin to continue on our exchange. I will be running a script that emails all users with trades and balances, asking them to remove their coins. After one weeks time from the date of that email I will be turning off the daemon and moving the wallet off the exchange to a secure location. I will then run another script that cancels all trades and refunds balances along with one more email to all users with a remaining balance to reply with a BCC address so that I may send them their coins. Thanks all and I'm sorry about this, but there is no place on the exchange for coins that do not have an active developer, legal issues, and no volume.

if we fix the coin, and change BCC to something else can you keep it on the exchange ? it won't cost you CPU cycles with no trades it was already payed to being added... and not fair if we need to pay again. also Satoshi didn't login for more than a month when bitcoin was cheap.. no one removed it from trading (yeah i know its a silly comparison) I just opened a new thread https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=582316.msg6365138

Ugh, and now its getting stomped on by yet another BCC...
I saw some trades go through so i was going to keep an eye on it. it's sad how the community doesn't have enough respect to not stomp on another coin's acronym.
