Latest GNY Delegate information update.

The GNY blockchain runs on a delegated Proof of Stake (DPoS) consensus algorithm.

The delegated proof of stake consensus method was selected by the GNY project team as it is democratic (token holders vote for those delegates that will secure the network on their behalf), and because it is scalable, being able to process more transactions per second than many other consensus algorithms.

It should be noted that the GNY team have a practical byzantine fault tolerance (PBFT) consensus algorithm as part of their overall delegated proof of stake consensus algorithm thus making the network even more secure and solid.

   

Setting out the framework of goals for the delegate system that GNY HQ is working towards, so everyone has an equal opportunity to plan.
​We have worked hard to create goals that benefit both the delegates and the community.

​Number of delegates: 101

GNY will run 10 delegate positions for network security, but return all forged tokens to the remaining delegates, purely as a security and technical function.

​Inflation rate will be an effective 7.5% with yearly block reward reduction.

​All transaction fee’s on the network will return to the operators of the nodes securing the network.
All machine learning functionality token cost required to operate the ML system will return to the operators of the nodes securing the network.
  
New Dapps launched on the system will require lock up of tokens.

​Delegate token lock: Delegates will be required to signal ownership of 187500 GNY tokens.
​Delegates will be required to signal ownership of tokens in wallet and on confirmation of making voting position the tokens will lock.
Delegates can unlock tokens at any time instantly removing themselves from delegate position.

​Voting weight on the system will only count votes from locked wallets on the system.
This reduces voting weight coming from exchange hot wallets.

​GNY HQ will be offering a guide towards delegates in an audit form for the first year, to assist the community in trying to choose suitable candidates.
It will follow clear reporting guidelines applied over all potential delegates.

Lisk Machine Learning (LML)

Lisk Machine Learning tokens were also available to all the participants who used Lisk tokens to enter the GNY ICO.

The network matched the number of tokens 1:1.

Such participants received two sets of tokens; one set for use in the “Lisk Machine Learning” (L.M.L) blockchain, and the other set for use in the GNY blockchain.

The LML token (currently an ERC-20 token) will swap to a Lisk sidechain token when the GNY team feel the Lisk SDK/sidechains are at a stage that allows them to progress with the development of LML.

GNY and LML are both standalone projects, but intertwined in development. Every development for GNY will benefit LML and vice-versa.

Who is LML for?

Customers who are building new digital operations off of the main LISK network as a LISK side chain and wish to incorparate GNY's machine learning tech.

​It will offer users the full range of GNY on-chain machine learning tools specifically geared for the LISK environment as well as Cross-chain capability.

Take One Lisk mainchain and add one LML sidechain. Then you combine that with GNY's industry leading machine learning by providing unique open toolsets to upgrade Lisk with ML capabilities.

The GNY team's battle-tested ML system has been used in commercial US industry and will bring a secure, collaborative platform for machine learning, data capture and analysis to Lisk through LML.

LML and the Cryptopia exchange hack

On 14 January 2019, GNY lost over 15 million LML tokens on the Cryptopia Limited crypto currency exchange in New Zealand following a hack on the exchange.

The tokens were stolen from what was described as a secure server run and managed by Cryptopia.

GNY's Machine learning technology was built by Grey Jean technologies, they are our US retail non-blockchain company.  It was built to predict consumer behaviour and answer business problems.

Let me give an example we created:

Let’s say Beyonce wears a stylish leather jacket her latest video. A skilled marketer of that jacket knows to start promoting sales of that jacket to segments of Beyonce’s fan base on social media based on historical segmentation (location, age, income bracket, past purchase history). Individual results from this marketing push may be analyzed individually; say women in their 30’s purchase more than those in their 40s, but the correlations between trends remains unutilized.
GNY's comprehensive management and manipulation of 100s of factors (tracking sales, social media shares, press hits, online queries) allow it to “see” 1000s of new patterns and correlations that are too subtle and complex for a human to see and then be able to track and improve their translation to marketing recommendations.
For example within 10 days Genie learned that women aged between 23-35 in Houston responded more to Facebook Advertisments, and women aged between 28-35 in Los Angeles responded more to Instagram. Recommending the jacket for purchase to young women is easy for marketers, but GNY empowers them to find the optimal message, for every customer, in every market in real time

Hi TimeTeller, an important point you bring up and we also do not want to fall into the "gesture only" category, so how can we address that.

Zachary Barnett our head of social enterprise is a Founder and Executive Director of Abzyme Research Foundation (ARF), a group with a clear mission of fighting to End HIV. We have the staff to tackle real issues and progress.

CRC already work with tech as part of their operational function, we can add to that, we can provide a machine learning element to improve the information sets they have and we can expand.

The Opioid issue we have built a blockchain model on which is already functional test model, it was created on ASCH chain and is the result of GNY being approached by a group in healthcare for a novel solution to reducing Waste, Fraud and Abuse in this sector.

One thing we must be clear on is what is for profit and what is non profit.   Our work with CRC is purely non profit and will never cross into that area.

Our work in the Opioid issue is for profit, there is a great opportunity for tech companies in this area that can solve these issues that will improve lives and also save insurers money on fraudulent claims and cities dealing with expensive abuse epidemics.

We will be clear which of our work falls into which category so our business model looks achievable.
