Physical Bitcoins Now On Sale from MemoryDealers.com

Memory Dealers is proud to announce that it's acquired the rights to sell the infamous Casascius Physical Bitcoins. Customers can purchase these physical Bitcoins (which have hologram-coded private keys) with credit cards or Paypal. Each coin is worth its face value in BTC and is cast in brass with the special tamper-proof hologram on the back.

Available versions:
1 BTC
25 BTC (plated with real gold)
100 BTC Bars

To learn more about these physical Bitcoins, visit www.Casascius.com
(note: avoid Casascius.net, it is a fraudulent phishing scam)

Click here to purchase from MemoryDealers.com

That's a rather large premium you're charging.  It's actually even higher than casascius' premium.

I'm currently charging a 10% premium over casascius.
He only accepts payment in Bitcoin, so he has zero chargeback risk, and no CC or Paypal fees. (around 3% to 5%)

After a few weeks, if everything goes smoothly,  I may be able to lower the premium a bit.

I'm curious how much card companies seeing this as delivery of a physical good lowers your chargeback risk. Best of luck. I've been considering buying some of these, but haven't yet convinced myself to pay the premium. But paying for it via credit card instead of bitcoin is very tempting.

Thank you everyone for the kind words.

For those who are curious,  I sold about 300 Bitcoins via PayPal and CC durring the first 24 hours.

It will be interesting to see what kind of long term volume these have.

Excellent!  with a physical shipment, you can require a signature confirmation.  This won't completely eliminate the chargeback risk, but it's better than not having any signature at all.

Due to overwhelming demand, and rising Bitcoin prices, I will have to raise the prices on the 1BTC coin.

Place your order ASAP to get the old price:

100 BTC Gold (plated) Bars are now on sale.

http://www.memorydealers.com/100cabi.html

The math works out to $3.82 per BTC  (Market price is currently $3.20 on MTGOX)

I think that is a pretty darn good deal considering that you can pay by CC or Paypal.

Only 200pcs of the Gold bars were produced for this first run,  so buy them now before they sell out!

I don't think the gold bars are all that useful/needed.

What would be cool would be a 100 BTC pack of 0.1 BTC coins.

The bars are excellent!  Though I agree 0.1 BTC coins would be more useful for actual exchange, these are nice to stick in a safe.  Just out of curiosity, have you actually loaded up all these bars with coins or do you do that before shipping?

Just out of curiosity, have you actually loaded up all these bars with coins or do you do that before shipping?

Recently these products have been selling faster than Casascius can produce them,   so this hasn't been an issue yet.

I know exactly what everyone in my circle will be getting for Christmas.
Buy them now before the price goes back up!
