Bitcoin mining is now a specialized and very risky industry, just like gold mining. Amateur miners are unlikely to make much money, and may even lose money. Bitcoin is much more than just mining, though!

FWIW, the Thai Baht symbol, ฿, is also used to stand for a specific weight of gold.

Consider VIS (singular) because VIRES (plural) looks too much like VIRUS to the casual reader.
+1

I think "Vis in numeris" is a better translation.

How do you say "Screw the Banks" in Latin?

I think I remembered seeing a bitcoin logo with the latin of "In numbers we trust".

Also, why bring this back from the dead? Anyone have new logos in mind?

How do you say "Screw the Banks" in Latin?

Literally, "Copula argentarias", but I fear Caesar wouldn't understand...

I take it you haven't seen "Spartacus" on Starz. Every other word is "copula."  Wink

Great logos. Can't really pick a favourite at this time, but I do like "Vires in Numeris". That's already used in Casascius coins and I like it.

Yes, but that means "Strengths in Numbers" (plural).

Nice design, maybe it will look good again if you lower the color gradation, I think it's too bright for the bitcoin logo and add like a picture of connections like bitcoin's signature. I'm sure it will look even better.
