Hey there,

My bitcointalk account (not this one) got banned for : "you are banned from posting or sending personal messages on this forum.
Reason: Participating in an on-forum altcoin giveaway (see https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=3953664.0). Ban duration: 7 days"

The Link on the ban take you to this: "Incentivizing posting within one or several threads via low effort tasks (e.g. signups or proof of participation for liking, following, subscribing, retweeting, tweeting a single tweet, joining a channel or group, etc.) is not allowed as it falls under the "no altcoin giveaways" rule (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=2103687.0)"

I'm trying to understand here, now I do several bounties of different types... I follow the instructions given on the bounty thread on bitcointalk but then it seems the bounties can ask us to do the tasks but the fellony here is when we do them??

Or maybe I got banned for something other than posting my weekly bounty tasks? (I  either do bounties or engage in chat about Alt/btc)

Another thing I find difficult to understand is, who says which task is a "Low effort" task?? I mean... I was doing an Altcoin- Facebook (Like/share) bounty : It must be done no more than 24 hours after the post (so I keep loging in) and have a file down paste them until I have a decent amount to post on the thread not to mention that I do an original post with Images "occasionally",
I also do Signature bounty and for it I'm required to Post 15 times+  on BCT, So to me the signature bounty is lower effort than the Facebook one.

So yeah, other than being a Crypto enthusiast who spends much of his time Reading, trading, doing bounties/airdrops talking with other Crypto freaks I'm just trying to make an extra buck in this difficult Crypto season, I was not expected to find hurdles as such.

I do not want to redo whatever wrong I did again, but I need to know exactly what It was, so If anyone can tell me if it was indeed the "facebook" bounty? thats considered a giveaway?

If so maybe the crypto startups and bounty managers should not have the right to put them as a task on bitcointalk threads to begin with?

This forum is by far the most valuble for crypto, but guys dont take away our liberties to such extents, Its not like I was selling fake stuff or bullying/insulting everyone... Just helping a new crypto promote while making a little token WIN/WIN why would Bitcointalk not WIN too?

Sorry for boring or upsetting anyone. Thanks.

(PS: Please refrain from negative "nonconstructive" replies, cheers.

First of all, you should move this thread to the Meta section, the only one in which you are allowed to post any ban-appeal commentary.
Use the Left-lower button down the thread, and move it.

Secondly, this is really difficult to assist you if you don't provide the banned account. In order to be able to answer most of your questions, we need to see what kind of threads-quotes you have created and have a nice vision of them.

Anyway, I will try to answer the most generic questions you've made:

I'm trying to understand here, now I do several bounties of different types... I follow the instructions given on the bounty thread on bitcointalk but then it seems the bounties can ask us to do the tasks but the fellony here is when we do them??

So, you do several bounties and the bounty manager is asking for you to break the rules? And, if so, how and which bounty?

Or maybe I got banned for something other than posting my weekly bounty tasks? (I  either do bounties or engage in chat about Alt/btc)

We can't know if you don't provide your account profile information.

Looks like you are breaking some rules in here, it is awesome that you just only have the 7 days ban.

Well, I think the best you can do is to wait for your 7 days ban to pass and, meantime, to read the rules in here: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=703657.0

Unfortunately, there are bounty managers that actually don' t know the rules and are breaking them all the time. So the best way to be "safe" and to avoid any ban in the future is to be familiarized with the rules. If you see any bounty manager asking to break them, please report it.

Now, if you provide your account name, we can look forward and see what is actually happening. If not, this is impossible to determinate what of your posting activity is fraudulent or can be considered as one.

I appreciate your reply but I got out just threatened and more confused....

I am not saying bounty is asking me to break the rules I am saying that I followed the rules written for everyone on this very same forum that banned me.

The part where you think I may deserve more then 7 days of ban, you didnt help answer my question (Who judges whats lower effort than the other) or even told me why you think I deserve an even bigger ban?

Still appreciate your time and will hope you give me your opinion on this example image.

I do this bounty for instance and try my best to do it perfectly.

PS: Will move this thread to the designated place, thanks for the advice.

Yep, maybe I was a bit judgy, sorry for that, but I have to insist: you need to provide your banned account name if you want any well-informed reply.

Yep move it and edit the thread with your banned profile info

Sorry for boring or upsetting anyone. Thanks.
What is it with this superfluous apologizing I see so often with people who get banned?

These shitty bounties can ask you to do anything, including breaking bitcointalk rules.  That doesn't mean people shouldn't know what the rules are or what the consequences are in the event that those rules are broken.  In short, you should have known that what this bounty was asking was illegal by bitcointalk standards.

In any event, now you know.  You're lucky you just got a temp ban and not a permanent one.

The reason probably is that you have participated in a giveaway where you had to only like or follow some pages or something and post your address to receive the tokens from the giveaway. But someone can only verify if it's the right reason or not if you share your banned account to let us have a look at your post history which will reveal the actual reason behind this ban.

If you read my previous replies to the OP, you will see that I've said the same to him since yesterday. I'm afraid that he's hiding something bigger maybe?? Because he's refusing to share his previous banned account.
If not, OP, just share it.

Ask yourself this: if someone assists someone else in breaking the forum's rules, should they get punished as well? Cause the answer is quite clear to me.

Since you haven't posted which account of yours got banned I can't say what bounty specifically you were banned for but it was probably an airdrop you participated in that required you to do a few quick tasks and post a proof of participation post in their thread.

The thread linked in your ban clearly lays out numerous examples of what's considered low effort.

They're called rules. Every community has them.

Reread the linked thread. If that's not clear enough, I don't think anything I'd say will be.

They get banned as well.

Bitcointalk strives to be a place for enthusiasts of cryptocurrency to engage with each other, not a hub for clueless spammers that destroy any board they post in.

Because you are refusing to follow the normal protocol in a ban appeal, providing partial information and showing us some "proofs" with the name and the information crossed out and all of it is no normal and also really suspicious.
If you just wanted to talk to a moderator, then, why did you open a thread? Just pm him and do not launch a global question if you just don't want to be asked by the "general people".

Anyway, the Bounty he was participating in seems to be this one: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=3482073.0

If you just want to just keep it mate it will just spoil.
