I searched, there seems to be no official thread about this. I sometimes play at playtin and today noticed that they now sell shares on site, and have a litecoin exchange. They do a lot of things in some unusual way, but the daily payout is quite high. At least according the history page in there... Eventually I bought myself some shares, hopefully I will get rich Does anyone else already own shares? Edit: I just figured that maybe not everyone knows this site. Here is the URL: https://playt.in

I could barely find what you ment. You have to go into the asset trading section and then you find it. their history table shows they offer around 8% per month. sounds great, whish I had some coins to put it down to get rich too did you see the "create bankroll shares" option? the magic formula

Nice, just got my dividend payment. It was 0.00290054 BTC per share. The face value of a share is 1 BTC, so that is 0.29% for a single day

I want buy this cheap shares too. The price on the orderbook is much higher than on "create new shares", but that only makes sense for large order. Maybe someone can organize a group buy. We can then sell the cheaper shares to the orderbook.

Yes, it is inside playtin. It seems they have sort of anonymous accounts, you cannot even enter an email address anywhere. Personally I use one of their user/password style accounts, because it gives me 2FA using Google Auth.

Again a very high payout today, even higher than yesterday: 0.00341254 BTC per share. If this trend continuous they will reach 10% dividend per month. It would be really nice to have more shares.

Takes only 2 seconds: Click this link: https://playt.in. Then you see playtin is a casino. The shares are bankroll shares, so the dividend is from the casino profit. 9% a month sounds quite reasonable

Just checked my daily income, today it was 0.00284970 BTC per share. So only 0.28%/day. Just kidding, this is really great But the big surprise was that apparently some investor bought about 12% new shares. Smart move. I really wish I had the coins to do this...

Playt.in has been around for ages, around the same time we started SatoshiBet. They have always been reputable thus far. It think it's pretty cool what they are doing now with the shares.

okay, fine, it pays 9% a month -- now why in the hell would they offer it to outside investors?

My personal guess: They are expanding their business. They have basically added an exchange (currently only LTC/BTC, but the user interface indicates that there will be more currencies) and an asset trading platform to their site, and are using their own shares as the first traded asset, while at the same time they upscale the casino by doing this (look at just-dice as why to let outsiders invest). Those efforts combined will bring them more players and as a result more profit.

They maybe wanted to cash out their bankroll, to use for something else or just take as profit. Or they hope the popularity that this model has given to sites like just-dice will boost their site similarly. I am kind of suprised by their low profit in general though, especially in 2013 when competition wasn't so obnoxiously present. They had a roulette I think a month or 2 before us, and at that time there were only 2 provably fair roulettes. If I compare their numbers with SatoshiBet, all I can conclude is that there is an awful lot of untapped potential for playt.in. Not sure if it will ever get tapped, that's up to them. Note; I do not want to endorse this site and its shares. Do your own due diligence. One red flag to me is that the playt.in account which used to be very active, hasn't posted for ages; https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=profile;u=81588

Addi, thanks for the very interesting insider information. In my opinion their factors (maxbet/bankroll) are way to conservative, maybe that is one of the reasons why they don't make more profit. On the other hand, as a shareholder, it is great to know that there is no risk that the casino itself goes bankrupt. BTW, today I got 0.00289207 BTC per share

Got another 0.00296033 BTC per share today It is sad that so much people waste their money on mining instead of participating in a profitable venture...
