It is a bug... An exploit exploits bugs in software... Glitches, bad programming, poor execution... (Bug = undesired operation.)

He just stopped claiming ownership of the bug/flaw. Tongue

Termed because it "bugs you"... (Bug, bother, annoy, haunt)

I believe that is a political play on words.

This explanation would make the actions of MtGox not criminal but it doesn't hold up. No problem in their handling of malleability can empty their cold storages of hundreds of thousands of bitcoins.

its more than a software bug..

you shouldnt have a software bug that could empty your entire balance, both customer and own balance.

thats almost nooby retarded.

I dont keep all my coin on one exchange.. you cant rob me all at once.. i get it is different but there shouldnt have been that ability.. even with the flaw. There is little reason why anyones  accounts even the ceo should have access to 800,000 btc pot.

a bug is a hole in your egg basket.. having all your eggs in that basket, is more than a bug.

If it's a bug in the bitcoin system, why other exchanges did not get robbed?

Best pic ever - that's the TRUE answer to what was the reason of MtGox's crash ! That's not a bug that's Mark Karpeles incompetence and giving a fuck on their customers.

Actually old old computers frequently broke because of actual living bugs crawling inside and messing with the radio tubes.

Or so I heard.
