Seems like that last question is phrased to encourage the "MtGox made me much more negative on bitcoin" answer. Let's get the results to reflect an understanding that MtGox is not Bitcoin.

Bitcoin is the first monetary system to credibly offer perfect information to all economic participants.

Yep indeed. Perhaps not everybody yet know that.

Like I have been saying before, unfortunately a lot of people and the media still confuse bitcoin with Gox.
Now that they have gone, I hope bitcoin's reputation will benefit from their disappearance.

Most likely because Bloomberg is very invested in the way the stock market works right now. Any alternative is a threat.

Why even post anything from Bloomberg? That's the most biased piece of crap rag in existence.  Reading anything from them is like reading the transcript of a rant from a gossiping old woman (only 10% will be true).

So is there a survey to compare the answer to,?    Grin

such as....
When will Bloomberg be asking the question about...
"Do you trust the dollar to not lose purchasing power?"

or
"Do you trust the value of your US dollars under the management of the federal reserve and rich executive officers of large central banks?"

Filled it out.

And don't be weird and say "Feel much better about Bitcoin" after the Gox thing.

Be normal and say "Nothing has changed".

Just my two cents.

It's biased just as usual. But the fact of the matter is that a lot of the mainstream is slanted in this manner too and as unfortunate as it is, Mt. Gox was one of the main Bitcoin media players. After all you don't hear too much about the other Bitcoin services because they usually have their crap together. Mt. Gox other the other hand has always managed to garner more media attention than healthy.

I do feel much better though.   It was pretty obvious that Gox was garbage that needed to come to public attention as early as possible.

Now that people no longer consider Gox a viable reputable exchange; things can greatly improve and move forward for BTC --- with major exchanges that actually service their withdrawals in a timely way.....
