We live where democracy is only a sentence, not true democracy. Decentralization will improve a dilapidated economic system, because the main source of problems is the economic system. If the economy is good and fair, people will feel democracy. Because right now I think we are still in control of a corrupt government system, almost all countries are no exception.

Interesting article! I guess decentralization itself could bring even more democracy, because everything from decisions to ownership would be executed on blockchain, which is in the hands of people. I might be dreaming, but still, I would very much like to live in the digital crypto world than in this so called democracy, which is of course an illusion. Also, I like virtual reality.

I will yes to some extent because there are areas the blockchain could help to make the government better, but for that to happen, the government needs to embrace the blockchain technology, but they most of them are afraid to do that, because they will hand the power to the people, government are know to be manipulative in some certain areas of the economy so I don't think they will allow decentralization democracy,

The more decentralized we are the better. We do not need government power structures bearing over us. Humans need to be free. Not tax slaves for a certain country in the middle east who point guns and missiles at all of us. You know it's the truth even though you have been programmed to defend them. Wake me up when we decide to do something about it.

I think the government are not yet ready for decentralization and the blockchain technology has not gotten to the stage where governments will adopt it for for running of democracy, currently people are more concerned on the profit side of blockchain, until more attention is focused on the main technology and how to make it better, democracy going decentralized will take a long time.

Though government will object to the proposition but for sure decentralization might be answer to the flaws of democracy because government of today are known to be manipulating different sectors of the economy. I think decentralization will actually fulfill the meaning of democracy , which is government of the people by the people and for the people.

in my opinion blockchain technology is feared by conspiring global leaders so they oppose it. blockchain technology = 100 percent transparent.

Complete decentralization outside of the control of mega corporations and governments may actually put the power back in the hands of the people. I hope we can all work towards that goal however I don;t think it's democracy that we want. Democracy = mob rules. We need a better concept than we presently have for living together in harmony.

I believe democracy stands in a balance of both, centralized and decentralized systems... Not everything should be centralized but the figure of government itself is centralized, you vote for one person alone to govern your country. As for the economy itself, money should be in the hands of people, no banks but again, cryptos have not gained total trust from people just yet. Gives us hope that students from top universities are opening their minds and accepting cryptos and this tech with such open arms: https://cryptocoin.news/news/coibase-study-shows-student-interest-in-cryptocurrencies-on-the-rise-20029/
