Hello together,

I'm searching for a solution how I can run my wallets secure, I mean today I can't trust every wallet release which is stored at GitHub, because there can be always some suspect code in wallet and I dont want loose my coins.

It there any solution to start new wallets on my OS safe? I tried to use sandbox, but I couldn't start 2 wallets.

How do you keep your system / coins safe?

Thank you,
lpxcc

I haven't used sandbox but have you bought a hardware wallet already? if you still don't have then that's the best thing that you can do so far. Yes, all wallets has some weakness but with hardware wallets at least you are safe because their companies are registered and has a reputation to protect. Mine's nano s from ledger wallet and its very recommendable.

Try using your hardware wallet, I think it's safer than the others. You just have to buy if you use a hardware wallet, the price of the hardware wallet starts from 25 $ to 150 $. You can use Trezor or Ledger Nano S.

If you don't trust any opensource. At least safest option for you is to get official bitcoin client software, install it on offline computer and generate private keys and make paper wallets. This is the most secure you can do, although then you won't be able to spend them right. If you don't have a computer to spare I can recommend you to try some LINUX OS run it offline via USB or yet CD on your main computer install client generate paper wallets and print them. After you are done simply shut down computer and all will be wiped out of your RAM, pretty secure.

If you have the drive space, just setup a separate VM for each wallet.
If you don't have the space you can do a VM for every 'X' wallets. So if one is a coin stealing trojan it will not get all of what you have.

Oracle VirtualBox:
https://www.oracle.com/technetwork/server-storage/virtualbox/downloads/index.html

There are other ways of doing it, but this one works for me. As always YMMV.

Does this wallet work for ERC20. The problem for ERC20 is rather difficult to find a software wallet.

It creates a virtual machine, you can install whatever wallet you want.

No need to be worry. In open source, decentralized sytems, all are secured very highly. Bitcoin is existing till 2009 still not been haced yet!. After all of that, if you feel insecured, i suggest you to use Jaxx wallet that has a great fame among crypto lovers.

Feel free and safe about your wallet. Most of the newcommers and traders feel insecured about their wallet and balanced. But i am suggesting , dont be worried about it. This is absolutely secured. No fear of hack, till date, no news about hack. Just be carefull and make it safe from scammers.

Can WE trust a Metamask? I'm pretty sure WE are. Register a new wallet, and use the private key to it only once - to import into Metamask. To monitor the balance, use etherscan or bot in the telegram. Use a separate browser for Metamask, do not update it (browser and Metamask).

You can make both online and offline wallet for extra security. In case of online wallet you have to update them regularly, use encryption and two factor authentication. Offline wallet can help you from being hacked on online.

Metamask can be one of the options for security of wallet and yet currently metamask cannot be a good measure as a security system, it would be better if you use Trezor

Security is an important aspect at the present time. Yesterday I watched a bad transaction in my wallet, a coin was withdrawn from it,which there never was, after this case I think about a more strict protection for my coins, no one can be trusted, data is hacked and stolen tokens every day, some people think how to protect their money, and other people think how to steal someone else's funds. I hope that somebody will finally come up with a reliable method of protection. Now there is absolutely no safe way to protect your funds.

Securing wallet is very important. You can encrypt your online wallet. Try not to forget about two factor authentication. Update your systems regularly and try to avoid mobile wallet.

It make no sense trying to run a wallet, if you won't put safety first, at times it is not that some of these wallets are not secured but the carelessness of some users is what affect them and resulted in their wallet being hacked but some people do know these
