There are several different types of Bitcoin clients. The most secure are full nodes like Bitcoin Core, but full nodes are more resource-heavy, and they must do a lengthy initial syncing process. As a result, lightweight clients with somewhat less security are commonly used.

Had a brief hiccup in port forwards -- hashing continued. Extending all active leases by 30 minutes anyway.

Thanks!!

Great Rig - hashrate as advertised
Pity my lease was in the middle of a 3:15Hr block

Would definitely use again!

Thanks for the feedback!

Yeah, I got hit by that long block too Smiley

Just added 200 more GH and will be adding 650 more in 30 minutes. ~875GH; total is now 2975.

Here are images of the rig:

Hi -- are you still having problems? In the administration view I see you're getting lots of accepted shares. I'm extending your rental by an hour - let me know if everything is working now!

It will be, certainly! Upstream network connectivity issues are being investigated now and we will issue any needed refunds or extensions! Updates to follow.

OLDSCHOOL has been down for more than an hour now. I hope this gets resolved.

From what we can tell, connectivity was lost around 1330UTC / 6:30am PDT; if you are the current leaser please let me know if that sounds right. I've modified the lease by 4 hours already and will increase that according to when service is restored.

Service has been restored - I extended the lease by a little more than 5 hours -- if you feel this is insufficient, please just let me know here or in a PM.

I apologize for any consternation or lost revenue this outage caused you!

I don't know if it will recover from the downtime enough for a rehiring, but at least the rig is online again.

OldSchool (SHA256 3775.00 GH/s)    6972.27

Hi Elwan,

This is a problem we have with leaserigproxy. Our actual rate is a little above 3800; we advertise 3775, but leaserig typically reports ~7000. We've spent quite a while trying to get this to report accurately, without success. We mention it in the rig description:
Code:
NOTE: Actual rig speed is as advertised - 3775. You may see speed indications of ~7000 on leaserig rig list, but that is misreported. We will always update our listed speed when we add or remove hardware.

But it is an annoyance and any suggestions to fix it are welcome!
