Although merit system have made a very positive impact on forum to restrict spammers at lower ranks and compel users to post wisely but still some deserving members can't earn merits because their posts remains unnoticed.

Some members of this community have taken a really positive step to award merits to deserving members on their posts which usually remains unnoticed.
I have seen many threads offering post reviews for awarding merits to deserving members.
There is a need of a single thread through which all members who are willing to award merits can go through the posts of deserving members to award them according to the quality,
it is much better to follow a single path when our destination is same instead of creating a separate new threads.

To make it possible i will need members who are willing to send merits and members who are willing to get

RULES :

1. No one will beg for mertis, as this is against the forum rules.
2. Each member will only have two chances for a review, and you can ask for your second review after two months.
3. We will only review the latest posts of members who are applying.
4. Merits quanity will be according to the post quality.
5. No spamming on thread, just submit application with your profile link in it.
6. As this is not a discussion thread, so try to avoid unnecessary discussion.
7. I reserved rights to change the rules.
8. Merit abusers will be reported and will be given negative trust.

FOR THOSE WHO WANT REVIEW :
Fill up the form HERE

FOR THOSE WHO ARE WILLING TO GIVE MERITS :
Please PM me so i can add you in contributors list.

You get merit points when someone likes your post enough to give you some. And for every 2 merit points you receive, you can send 1 merit point to someone else!

Perhaps it will not work. Agree with pugman. Spreadsheet will full by spammers and you will not find legit person who deserve merit. In my opinion, make a quote list thoes are really deserve merit and post it on meta. Hope they will get some merit.

I think this [RUPL] Ranking-Up Pipe Line of Forum Members thread, created by me will help you to find out members who deserved to be ranked up but lacking Merits.

But make sure choose the members wisely when giving away Merits. Because some of them are (specially Jr.members) not deserved to be ranked up. I even wonder how they got their 9 Merits.

There are members who really deserved to be ranked up, so make worth your Merits. Smiley

It's a bad idea to use a thread with an all caps title. That is one of my indicators of a low value thread, and I usually put the starter on ignore.

Agreed. Also I believe that this topic belongs to Off-topic. Most of Merit services are moved in off-topic before so this one should too.

Anyway, expect an enormous amount of spammer's usernames in your spreadsheet. I hope you won't give up after seeing those.

This is a very bad idea as you are acting as some kind of an unofficial merit source which I think will be bad for the forum. For one we don't really know if you really qualify to be trusted on merits of other people and secondly we don't know if  there is no hidden agenda with your project, maybe you have some members already have in your mind who will receive the merits first.

Although, I do appreciate your initiative, I don't think it will work.

One thing that I noticed and usually works is getting more attention toward your posts. I believe a lot of people are doing good posts that go unnoticed because they get buried fast (mainly because of the spam).

I've also created a post about this issues here: Has the Merit faucet dried up? Solutions?

If you really want to give merits to those deserving members, discover them by yourself and give them by your taste.

I really appreciate your effort that you wanted to help people who deserves merit but in this case there's a huge possibilities that you're luring out merit abusers or maybe alt accounts.

It would be nice if you edit the form like adding the link of an interesting and helpful threads they created instead of reviewing all those post in the past few days. Besides, it will only consume your time and pretty exhausting reading those comments, don't you think? This type of merit give away is nothing special and will only be targeted by those shit posters who wanted to rank up (most of them are Jr Members for sure).

my suggestion is let the member to promote other member's threads that he think that is nice thread can get merit
do not accept self promote
all members can follow the link provided to view and if you like can give merit
and the owner of the thread, since you already get some merit and u will get some sMerit also, so u should reward merits to the member who promote you.

Hi, I’ve submitted my profile and a fellow member of the forum has pointed out to me that it lacks the user ID, is that much of a problem?

Quite funny how negative comments are, for the moment the spreadsheet isn’t full of spammers, apart from those two with similar names, which I suppose were multi-accounts.

Thanks for the initiative.

If you only click the PROFILE button in the menu bar, it really doesn't give you the link with your USER ID. But if you click your name within your previous posts it should give you the link with your USER ID.

And to help you out... this is your link mate. Smiley

maybe they know that if they transfer this into the off topic section it will just get spammed by shitty asshole Jr.

You made a merit service/merit giveaway thread on our local, did you think that it will be also get spammed by those shitposters?  Huh

What if you link those threads so people can easily view the contents of those participants on the list? They can also determine if the merit service works well and will continue here or should be move in the Off topics. Also, merit sources and people that has many smerits will merit those if it's a worthy contents or in a taste of them.

No drunk or tired. I submitted my profile on a weekday in the morning.

Where can I find my user ID?
You can find your profile ID by clicking on Profile -> Forum Profile information you'll see the URL of the page changes and see your profile id listed there.
Mine looks like this:
Code:
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=profile;u=1268116;sa=forumProfile

You just need to remove the last part and you'll have:
Code:
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=profile;u=1268116

Your profile link is: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=profile;u=1107222

I tend to try to use merits to encourage the creation of new and worthwhile topics. When we are able to reduce the spam a bit more, the existing threads will be found and rewarded.
The thing is although you create useful topics, they get buried by spam extremely fast.

Let me give you an example: I've researched the best exchanges to use for myself (for about a week or two) and decided to create a resource/guide thread about it, in case someone else will find it useful.

It got immediately buried by spam and got just a few views: [Guide] Best/Top Crypto Exchanges: Fees & more

What do you think about that?

this is not a bad idea at all, since some of the member in this forum have a good idea that deserved a merit too but in the other side, more people might promote their self using other account to get merit and also get promoted too.

Sorry for the off topic, may I ask if spreadsheet or google docs fail sometime?
Because i noticed this in vintili spreadsheet, same btc address attached. How did that happen? Same btc address but not the same btt account. Maybe this user own this two accounts? Or maybe this only a typo error?

I don't think the google form will fail like this. All of the informations that is being stated in the form will be listed on the spreadsheet once you clicked submit. If same BTC address was attached in the spreadsheet it's better to look the profile of the accounts if they're related. No doubt, this cases always happen in the spreadsheet because of bounty abusers.

If there are no enough proof to state them as an abusers, maybe some people are just trying to troll their accounts.

@oksan89 (spreadsheet no.307) can't be seen now in the spreadsheet, I think the bounty manager remove her/him.

Cryptomonyet and Oksan89 are now listed respectively as no. 284 and 285.
These guys BTC address had a lots of money -blockchain

Could you make it so the spreadsheet links to "last posts of this person" and "last topics by this person"? Instead of just their forum profiles, it will make this entire process a bit faster for people who just want to check out the spreadsheet and see if they can award some fast merits?

You could alternatively ask them to link to ten different posts that they think are merit worthy just to speed up the process a bit.

"Last posts of this person" is just a single click away from the forum profile, there is no need to change it.
However asking them to link ten different posts looks good to speed up the process, i will keep it in mind if i need to change the application process in future.

I would like to encourage you guys to take a look at the post history of every applicant instead of just looking at a few posts. Better yet, you could just look at ten posts and then also browse through the post history.

I ran a free review service some months back here: vlad230's post review service - Jr. Member and up and you'll be amazed how many spammers I got in it that linked 3 okish posts but the rest were garbage posted on page 40-50+ in mega threads. So, make sure you keep a look out Smiley

That's the reason why i didn't ask them to provide selective posts, it hardly takes extra 1, 2 min to review the latest post history.

I made some initiatives recent weeks, so I hope that the OP author will take a look at it.
Thanks in advance for your time to glance at them all.
My two helpful topics:
1. Daily merit time series
2. Time series on monthly New topics, new users, new posts of the forum
I think they are deserved merits.
