There are plenty of Brand new accounts posting that Phishing Link. I started reporting the post of the ff users listed below earlier, but there are more of them. (I'll continue editing this list) Is it just the link in Geraldo's screenshot? If not, can you PM me the phishing link(s)? I'll restart my continuous patrol downloads, so I can catch them quickly. Sent you a PM with the phishing link which was used by the scammers!!

These people are mostly new members, engaged for their own purposes, but they do not know bitcointalk is a community where people can provide information to fraudsters.
Stop shitposting with wall-quotes and don't post phishing links.

Yes, so far that's the only link I've seen from all.
I saw a bunch of them again. At first, I thought they copied what Lafu has on the main post, but since all of the new post has /], it's likely (the link automatically changes to https:// www.[phishing]) made by theymos to avoid the phishing link. Ex. (It's okay to quote it since the link isn't there anymore)1. Go to our website /]MyEtherWallet.com

This is a great example on why newbie accounts should not have the opportunity to write freely in all sections of the forum.

Lack of right information at the right place is the biggest drawback of crypto world. If a user had the right information, he would know that ETH wallets don't require users to enter their private keys for updates, especially a browser wallet. Do you think we can have a sticky link in BTT menu bar itself, which has all the security related and general tips about wallets and chains in a point wise simple language? Nothing technical, just plain simple points.

For those who didn’t see this thread before now, the link was “ my wallet ether.com” (without spaces). This site is a phishing site (for google search results).
You should not see this link on the forum anymore because it will automatically be changed to a warning of a phishing link.

I'm not really sure if I'll post it here or should I open a new thread so that it will be seen in the main post. However, it's about a suspicious update link on MEW as well, so I decided to post here first. (Based on the usernames, most likely it's the same person/people is/are behind this like the first attempt)Woah a total of 91 posts of phishing link in my list (and still counting....)UPDATE: All users in my list have been nuked. Their new way to deceive/scam people about MEW update (I put the link on a code): People if you do not upgrade your MEW purse you will lose the crypto currency !!! http://bit.do/myetherwalletc Plenty of Brand New accounts are posting again. I've reported the ff users already: And in another different post (I put the link on a code too): Announcing MyEtherWallet v3.24.00: Difficulty Bomb& Reported users using the post above: Another post with new link used (I put the link on a code too): Announcing MyEtherWallet v3.24.00: Difficulty Bomb&Updating blockchain Please note that you need to manually update your wallet, failure to do so may result in funds being lost. Reported users with the post above:

Yeah, I found the same. I found this below my comment on the thread which I comment on, I thought someone replying to my comment (when I use " Show new replies to your posts."), but I found that the Newbs were back, the same link as before (with shortened URL - I've been check)

I'm not a tech guy, but there are so many members having knowledge about how to avoid this kind of attacks in the first place. This is the second time during this week and is there any loopholes in the bitcointalk security system? Can you guys backtrace and found the people who're behind this. I think @theymos or any staff member, we owe a hearing from you guys?
Admin should give another special rank or shining star to LoyceV for his mission of nuking newbies/bots

All you can do is keep reporting them. They're easy to spot with the naming formatting. I've nuked probably 50+ today, but this is just one of those issues were going to have to manually deal with by users reporting them until measures are put in place to prevent them. All new users being shadow-banned until white-listed by staff would at least stop them from showing up and being a nuisance and at least theymos put that suggestion into the "maybe" pile so maybe it will be implemented one day.

@LoyceV, I saw this one too and I think he's not one of them. He just quoted the post and asked if any mod can do something (see quote below). Please any moderator can supervise this?

@LoyceV, I saw this one too and I think he's not one of them. It's a false positive, I didn't report that post. Automated lists still need a manual review. Next time I'll add a link to the post history, to make it faster.

Hell yeah, they all use _ in their usernames. Why they all use _ in their usernames? I think "maybe" list of theymos is now pilled up heavily and even he couldn't find out what should I do next. He is also a human being. Admin should give another special rank or shining star to LoyceV for his mission of nuking newbies/bots All I want is my own nuke button @LoyceV these days
