The growth taking place with ethereum is completely a recovery from the low bottom that none expected. By the time of ethereum to be less than $100 one who have invested have been now reaping the profit out of the investment made on ethereum. Well I think eos is good coin but I think eos will need more develop before it takes and second spot that ethereum are right now. Ethereum reach a 1k price and I feel that will happen again but it takes time.

Did you bothered to read the first page of this thread? it was been opened last year when ETH still above $200, the hope of the community was been broken and before that year ended the value of this coin fell below $200, now all the holders are still hoping that another bounce will happen bringing the value to rise high again and reach another new ATH.
