Notice (History of POC team, How the problem Occur and were Discover. ):

Frankly the POC was developed and managed by a dynamic team. The goal of the team was to provide a popular, fair, and ASIC resistantcryptocoin.

On March 6th, 2014, POC was launched, due to great promotion of the early management team, there were a lot of cryptocurrency fans participating in mining POC. POC became popular in very short time.

On March 9th, Voting for POC on MintPal was initiated. As the fast increase of votes, on march 21st, POC was top one on the Mintpal voting board.

March 23rd, 80% of the votes were removed because the votes was considered voting by bots. We think it was understandable. To make the votes reliable, we initiatedcollect BTC vote from the community. Up to 7 BTC was obtained. This makes us realized that we shouldlive up to their expectations.

On march 26th, Votes were NO.1 again.

March 27th, Start trading on MintPal. Transaction volume exceed 30BTC. Both online and offline transactions became more and more active. Based on our data, on April 2nd, the POC offline price is 3 Satoshi and transaction volume was about 100 million.on 3rd, 120 million POC exchanged at price 5 Satoshi.

However, since then, some of the early management members of POC communication groups were silentgradually, thus we have to attract more and more new people join the team for maintaining the wallet and for further development.

On April 8th, with excuse of no POC coins in hand to make money, all early core management team quit.

On April 12th, new development and operation team start operation.

On April 18th, new version of wallet was released, which made huge fix on source code of the old version and OpenSSL bug, also set checking point.

The POC coin was more and more popular. On April 20th, trading price on MintPal of POC exceeded 13 Satoshi in the morning, then the price stayed at around 10 Satoshi, during the afternoon, there were huge sell of POC, the price dropped to 8 Satoshi. There were also huge sell of POC continued until the price to 5-6 Satoshi that night. After collecting both online and offline transaction data in the community, statistic data indicated there may be some coins come from unidentified origin. If so that would be a disaster to the POC community, thus the management team start block browser developing immediately. Block browser development was completed at 23:00, GMT8, then the team start checking on each block that night.

At about 0:30 April 21st, block 1224 was found generating 3 billion coins, which was near 3 times of the legal mined coins! Thus, we, the new operation team delivered an emergency announcement that noted potential unusual trading risk. The operator communicated with MintPal and Ecoinfound immediately for suspending of POC trading, in order to protect the interest of investors and miners. We also checked the earliest wallet and we found the people compiling the windows wallet cheating all team: the source code and Linux wallet is well, but the windows wallet was modified. After hours of discussion within management team, a relative better plan on protecting interest of investors and miners was made at 8:00 GMT8. Investors and miners were noticed through online communication groups to withdraw wallet, screenshot and backup wallet documents as certificate of cashing benefit in future and the management team left 12 hours for as much as possible investors and miners to complete this task. An announcement described the whole story of this event was made at 22:00 o’clock.

Though, we, the new POC team, did not create the disaster, we feel very sorry for not founding this evil accident in early stage. So we will try our best to separate illegal coins and legal coins to guarantee the interest of the real miners and legal investors. Install New Wallet

• Note: Backup your wallet.dat before intsall!

  • Launch your wallet, then open the "%APPDATA%" folder
  • Warning: In the populacecoin folder, you must delete "peer.dat" when upgraded from 1.0, create a file called "populacecoin.conf" (if it already exists, delete it and create a new one)
  • Copy the following info below and paste it into "populacecoin.conf"
