Love current the cryptocurrency scene. It's like the early Web when we saw a lot of movers and shakers and a lot of winners and losers.... yeah, the dot-com bubble days lol.

So, if you had a development, graphics, and marketing team at your disposal, what would be your Perfect coin in terms of reward, design and functionality.

For example, I would love to be able to trade/convert coins without using exchanges. I love the dogecoin community spirit and the viral aspects of the coin, etc.

So, dudes and dudettes, what is your perfect coin?

Yeah, for many the marketing seems more important than the actual functionality of the coin. For example: Dogecoin vs Vertcoin

Something similar to Coin2

Vertcoin's success is certainly based on its functionality (ASIC resistance & KGW).

Vertcoin was released mid Jan and had a market cap of $12.5 million in around one month.

The value of Vertcoin peaked at $7 within a month or so.

If you compare Vertcoin and Dogecoin, both are successful and both are relatively new. However, the success of Vertcoin was based predominantly on its functionality (ASIC resistance & KGW) while the success of Dogecoin was based predominantly on viral marketing.

The point here is that developers of new coins should consider both factors, if they want to make a success of their coins. In other words, don't just re-invent the wheel, add something else on top.

A perfect coin should run multiple algos (like Quarkcoin). It contributes to both security and ASIC resistance. KGW is also good.

Maxcoin is a very promising coin with its Keccak algo and its ASIC resistance. Also much easier mining setup, more energy efficient.

Max Keiser's involvement aside, its promising.

Value and/or profitability has taken a recent fall, but I'm optimistic.

Alt coin profitability has taken a beating across most established currencies, likely a ripple effect post-mtgox.

Please discuss.

TIP: EVERYONE COIN IS USELESS

Forgive me for being so upfront, but don't kid yourself. Every coin you see today, save for 1 or 2, is a shit coin, scam or not, that will die or be barely alive with a small community in 8 months. Why? Because ithey don't have a reason to exist. There is no reason or benefit to using it, in fact, it's inconvenient as fuck. There is no demand for the coin. There is no market for the coin. The every day person is not going to use Klondike Coin or BeeCoin or any other coin, UNLESS they serve a purpose.

I am developing a coin with a purpose. Interested, talented parties please PM me with what you bring to the table.

Thread hijacking at its best - lol!

I think many coins will succeed, because of personal taste. Some people think dogecoin is stupid and others love it. I love the marketing.

Good luck with your coin hijacker!

but the moment this coin, or any coin shows a good value there are 100 thausands bastard coins that will emerge and kill its fame

Most of coins are a mean to trade and get rich methods for the first 1-2 months , then they die.

vertcoin must be dying faster since its the one being "posted" so much all over this forum and reddit.  It reminds me of dogecoin.

If its any good the first coin will be ok. Maybe the second one too.
