[Ann] Steem Monsters - A collectible trading card game nearing alpha sale end

  Greetings cryptohounds,


Steem Monsters is a collectible trading card game built on the Steem blockchain.  We're still in alpha, but that alpha is ending.  We've sold 200,000 booster packs to 2,000 players.  The game currently allows players to collect cards, trade cards on a decentralized marketplace we built, and combine cards to grant them more experience.  As cards gain experience they level up and gain increased stats and new abilities.

Fighting will begin this month.  We'll be offering weekly prize pools of $1000 to start.  We hope to increase that and add daily pools as well.

Awesome! I'm a SteemMonsters player too, with a neat collection you can view here: https://monsters.steempeak.com/@pizzachain/collection.

This project is nice by itself but is also greatly driven by its awesome community, which mostly consists out of pure Steem users at the moment.
I really hope we change that and the game gains its well-deserved attention in the Bitcointalk forums as well!

Oh yes, it is just the beginning! Following Steem Monsters now for a while on the Steem blockchain. It is quite fascinating what you can do on such a fast blockchain. Already thousands of collectors, traders and soon fighters transacting their cards now and it just works.. not in minutes.. in seconds. 

The golden edition was the first big surprise for Steem Monsters collectors and the kickstarter exclusive cards are the next step. I'm a SM hodler now and the rocket is just launching for everyone. If i see the value of some cards now, it's staggering.  I think SM is a perfect example how far such ecosystems can grow in such short time and i hope many take their time and give it a try. Join Steem via Steem Monsters and see what happens.. tournament starts soon..  with some very interesting strategic elements in it!

Never thought I'd end up buying steem to get a position on the goblin shaman market, but hey at 3 cents a pop I would not be surprised if those little fuckers ended up being my best buy of the year
