Any plans to address the liquidity / volume?  Incredibly difficult to buy a decent amount without skyrocketing the price?

Answer:

We of course want to ramp up liquidity by looking into more exchanges and marketing, but we have made the decision to allow the token to grow organically through the business’ growth rather than spend a great deal on marketing for artificial and short term liquidity. This is the same approach Unibright took as well that is starting to pay off

The other side of this is of course that liquidity requires not only buyers, but sellers as well. We specifically designed the token to be something worth holding large amounts of to unlock ICON class status and added an institutional demand layer through our Funds group

"You can read this in detail on the white paper, but for a quick overview of the functionalities for Iconiq Lab, Funds and our soon to be launched platform AMaaS... 

Lab: ICNQ holders get exclusive access to the pre-sales with the highest discount on the ICOs of Lab’s graduates. The more ICNQ owned, the more can be invested into the pre-sales.

Funds: All our crypto asset index funds must pay their management fees in ICNQ to Iconiq. For instance, if there are $100M AUM and a 1% fee, the funds must buy $1M in ICNQ tokens off the open market to pay their fees. Also, holders of 100k or more ICNQ can enter share classes with lower management fees.

AMaaS: Discounted fees can be paid with ICNQ at first, and we are exploring many other interesting options for when the platform is launched.

First exchanges have already started in January 2019 to list security tokens. Thus, it is now possible on few exchanges to emit security tokens and to trade them. According to Iconic Holding CEO, Pat Lowry, the name change "is a result of the growth we have experienced on the business and product side. As we expanded past just Iconic Lab and into Iconic Funds and AMaaS, it was imperative to align everything under a new brand with new websites, logos and all the bells and whistles"
