Did you pm the bot on telegram?

You need to do this to enable it.

I haven't sent a PM to bot on Telegram but I found him and there was start button to start the bot, started and sent hello.

Of course, I sent PM with options in the topic line and telegram:myTelegramusername in body, to user Maggiordomo here on Bitcointalk today.

Still, nothing in Telegram and I was quoted and username was used multiple times so far.

I liked the thread system. You bookmark your thread and check from time to time to see if there are any mentions of your name. Thanks Piggy for letting us know.

I too liked the thread system for the same benefits. I think PM will be a good enough alternative. I this working right now? I saw a @Piggy post that it should be up and running, but I don't see PMs yet.

I strongly suggest you "Read the Fucking manual". After all that's what it's made for.
It is writting in the OP and then I told you to do it again. Why don't you take advice when you came here asking for it?

Important:
Before or after you have registered you need to contact @Maggiordomo_Service_bot on telegram (with the same telegram username used for registering) and just write something to him so he can bind your telegram and forum account togheter.

For who is already registered just send a pm with options in the subject of the bot and add in the body:

telegram:yourTelegramUsername (doesn't matter if with @ or without)

If you did all this and it is still not working you might have an issue. But contacting the bot is mandatory.

I have already and everything worked until yesterday. I did everything from the manual and that is why I ask for help because is not working.

If you try to help then be calm and do it, and if not, why give answers to my questions?

I was one of the first members who use this bot, so it is clear that I have read the OP multiple times, even today.


My notifications on Telegram still won't work and I don't receive any PM's either. If anybody has any suggestions what could be wrong I will be grateful

I'm sorry, you stated yourself you did not send the bot a pm. Which you need to do. If that's not it I can't help you any further.
When rereading I see you send hello after that. So you technically did send a pm. Reading too fast again. Sorry bro.

That has been happening before, i thought was fixed but apparently there is still some problem  , i suggest to turn it off for the moment, till i have time to have a look.

I don't get any PM's, no new messages in the thread, and Telegram is empty too.



Just want to add that this really great tool and again finding all the posts about me or somehow related to me will be difficult as before if you can not bring the bot Maggiordomo back to work.

At the moment notifications in telegram for new sign up is not working as is not picking up the right id for some bug.

Switch to pm didn't happen yet.

I'm the one receiving your mentions etc.

This is getting out of hand.

Luckily I am still receiving my own notifications hehe.

What would be interesting is to see if your mentions get posted on bitcointalk again if you deactivate telegram function, or if this is mixed up also, and the other persons telegram gets deactivated

It seems there is some issue contacting the forum so you sill not be able to receive notifications at the moment, i may have triggering some protection, due to multiple http request.

You should wait 1 second between requests. Bitcointalk allows more connections in burst only.

I received notifications in my thread in the Archival section and now a PM as well so both seem to be working unless Piggy turned them off a few minutes ago. I am still hoping the bot will continue to work using the thread system, the PMs are messy already.

i had it on temporarily for some testing but now everything is off, i'm just hitting some 503 (Service Temporarily Unavailable), from time to time but i don't know if it's just the line or some of the test i did. I'll try to run it again a bit later.

Now there is notification interval property (which i will explain better later) that indicate the frequency at which you will receive PM with the notifications occurred in that amount of time (default time for everybody is 60 minutes).

The binding with telegram for new registration should be back working as well.

Only for update purposes, I still don't get any notifications, even from somebody else  .

try to un-register and register back again, now should pick up the right telegram handle, if you get somebody else notification that person should do the same
