feryjhie you don't have telegram set on your profile so you need to follow the procedure.


wwzsocki you are set up correctly it seems and you should just receive telegram notifications, i need to verify if something is wrong then.

Indeed after unsubscribe and subscribe back in the Telegram, notifications started to work as supposed to.

But there is again a problem with PM's because I stopped to receive them from the last few hours and I was quoted and mentioned during this time a few times for sure.

Let's hope that now after resubscribing PM's will be working back again as they should.

This is just for those who want to receive the notification through the forum:

If you want to change the frequency at which you will receive the PM notifications, you can send this command with a number between 0 and 12*60, this indicates the delay in minutes which will occur from the first notification before it will be delivered. I set it to 60 minutes for everybody but is 0 to new people subscribing which means it will be instant.

Same here, from yesterday I don't get any notifications. I will try to unsubscribe again and subscribe only for PM's here on Bitcointalk.

Oh, anyways I found notifications via PM a lot easier to manage because I don't need to go to any other app only can see them from my account after a click of a button.

I wanted to ask you something. Would it be possible to add a feature to your bot so that it sends a notification every time a user I choose created a new thread?
I want to follow a few users from this forum and be informed every time they create new threads. Just new threads, not every post they make. Do you think that is possible to do?

You can already do that with a script that checks differences in the last topics posted page of these users.

I really don't think Piggy will want to implement this in his bot, eventhough it would be quite easy.

The script has nothing to do with the forum. It applies to any webpage really.

You're looking for a browser extension, such as Check4Change.

General warning: always be careful with browser extensions, especially in combination with irreversible cryptocurrencies.

Also the browser extension only works when... well when the browser is executing on your machine

Which can be an issue when you want to be alerted at any time hehe.

The best use case here is to execute such script on a vps you own. Some exist written in bash. But as I understand it you have little technical knowledge so you will have to rely on 3rd party software.
