This is the reason why Bitcoin will never be replaced. Because after all everyone competes to get Bitcoin, not Ethereum, because they understand the value of Bitcoin. That big sale from the whales have created so many panic sells in ethereum and any other cryptocurrency. That's why ethereum has been getting a big drop more than bitcoin. they were rushing the bitcoin and just try to sell their altcoins as fast as possible before they will be missing the train.
