A couple of months ago, a member of this forum told me the following words: "Well, Daniel, my biggest BTC purchase was 12 kilos of refined heroin from Pakistan. You can basically buy anything, especially if you start looking through the millions of unindexed pages on the deep web. Not a fan though.
Yeah I agree with you that you can buy everything with bitcoin and also the crazy things. Maybe that member who PMed is just an addicted person to that drug. And we all know that in deep web anything you want are going to be available there that is why they are using bitcoin for the anonymity of the people who are transacting there. I agree that buying illegal drugs is a crazy thing but if you go in the marketplace in the goods section, you will see there the craziest shit you will buy by btc. i recently saw a user that selling a used underwear of his sister and he have a picture of it with a model that looks like a boy body. WTF! hahahah. And i can't believe that many user is still interested. I couldn't imagine what is the smell of the underwear once you open it in the box when it shipped. Goodluck!  |

Well for now, walmart doesn't know or care about bitcoin. Using Gyft you can buy gift cards for tons of places, like walmart, target, wholefoods, gamestop, amazon, ebay, etc etc. but these places don't directly accept bitcoin. They accept their own e-cash (gift cards), which are bought with bitcoin, which is a good and easy step in the right direction.
There are lots of big companies already accepting bitcoin; Microsoft, Dell, TigerDirect, NewEgg, Namecheap, to just name a few. Unfortunately these companies kinda target computer nerds anyways, so grandma won't be able to purchase a new cane using any of them. lol
