The days of explosive growth in the blockchain industry have likely come and gone now the average person is aware of its existence, according to Vitalik Buterin, co-founder of Ethereum.
“The blockchain space is getting to the point where there’s a ceiling in sight,” Buterin said in an interview with Bloomberg at an Ethereum and blockchain conference in Hong Kong. “If you talk to the average educated person at this point, they probably have heard of blockchain at least once. There isn’t an opportunity for yet another 1,000-times growth in anything in the space anymore.”

You should pay no heed to statements made by experts like Vitalik Buterin because most of the times they act for their interest and profit. Crypto will always be profitable and the bull market will still exist so long as people use it for speculative purposes. An average joe might have heard blockchain at least once but the question is if they already own any crypto of some sort? Of course not. Keep in mind that so long as crypto can be developed further, there will be no ceiling in sight since bull run will continue.

I think Vitalik messed up a bit with ETH and now spreads FUD. ETH network can't handle transaction load needed to be usable. Many devs have since made better coins with better tech and those WILL grow. If ETH is to survive it seems others will have to save it, like TNC.

It depends on which crypto we're talking about here because not all crypto are unprofitable forever. Some coins recover and some don't, investing in crypto can be profitable short-mid term if you know how the market moves.

People shouldn't take everything seriously, what was said in the article could just be an attempt to mislead people. Saying that there won't be any opportuinty for a 1000 times growth is almost similar to saying history won't repeat itself. Anything can happen with cryptocurrencies it can even grow bigger if there's enough demand.

The bull market will still exist but until another bubble will come. Vitalik doesn't remember if this is the money machine. You can see so many speculators in the market and that makes it will become very volatility. I guess this will be happened in a few years later. I meant about another big bubble and i just try to load as much as possible but the price of bitcoin will remain the same

I guess he's right, just come to think about it what was the difference now and before. You'll wonder where are those good old days now? It seems that most of these days, all the development team and his team are too busy creating a full of shit coin or a quick rich scheme rather than making a good outcome of their projects which can contribute to the blockchain community.

Well That's his opinion about the current market situation, though i am disappointed with his statement because it seems he does not believe in what he created any more, I believe everyone other CEO or founder of a coin won't make such a statement, they will still believe in their project. I still think market will still improve.

I guess he's right, just come to think about it what was the difference now and before. You'll wonder where are those good old days now? I'm not really against with those words and in fact those are been part of the reality and he do really have that point.I cant even see anymore a reason for us to hit up those 1000x multipliers on coins that do exist.Due to scams and frauds where it do lose up confidence on most investors and for sure who do really learn up on how this market works.For now we can already presume that it wont really be the same as of these upcoming years to come on to this market.

If he says that the average person also knows or heard about the crypto currency then isn't it is good thing about it and thus will push the crypto currencies to all new highest? I don't think so this is an evolving technology and there is always a room for improvement, adoption, and growth, there will always going to be a new project that will be adopted by the community using any cryptocurrency algorithm in the market, there's still a lot of ICO in the market and we are in the bear market.
