Since there are plenty of scammers here, wouldn't it be AWESOME to visitors (who don't know this is a rat's nest) to see the red trust? so would know who they're dealing with.
Most of them buy without even signing up. Would be a great help for them and to keep fighting low life scammers  Cheesy

Transactions must be included in a block to be properly completed. When you send a transaction, it is broadcast to miners. Miners can then optionally include it in their next blocks. Miners will be more inclined to include your transaction if it has a higher transaction fee.

Well i'm curious too about that, maybe he is only spectator until he decides to step in and join this forum (now) ? While the idea is great, i think it will not solve the core problem for scamming things. You know, basically, people who got scammed is because they dont prioritize their own safety, and scammer nowadays are smarter they feed on it.

Be a smart buyer and prioritize your safety like using escrow or etc.

They just need register which is pretty easy to do, and you even doesn't need your 'real' email address if want to register, cmiiw and most of marketplace forum that i know always need to register first before deal with member on there. If the buyer is smart, then after he register, he will check the seller reputation before buy something from him or read sticky thread first.

I'm doing steam artwork.Official thread (Indo, but please pm me even if you're english speaker) : https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5323281

This has been discussed before, and nothing came of it.  The only person who can implement what you're suggesting is Theymos, and as far as I know he's been silent on the matter.

As I mentioned in the other thread, you're not helping anything by spamming negative trust over and over on people's profiles.  It's unnecessary and annoying.  It makes it harder for people to read through someone's feedback and the bottom line is that it's inappropriate.  If you don't like bitcointalk, you're welcome to find some other place to be.

Sorry not to tell you before but im a seer.

I forgot to mention but there are many threads with autobuy links or some contact me here thing in marketplace. Whoever is planning to buy, just need to see that thread, click that link and buy. Not need to talk to seller and since these scammer kids close their thread and keep spamming you can't even leave a feedback. That's why I'm asking to visitors to see red trust.

This has been discussed before, and nothing came of it.  The only person who can implement what you're suggesting is Theymos, and as far as I know he's been silent on the matter.

I'm sending him a mesage.
You don't need 100 different proofs to figure out a person is a scammer, don't you? Only need to see one to not trust. If you're too lazy to look for, don't do it in the first place.

That's why visitor or anyone should read the sticky pinned threads before who really want to make a deal with any member. I didn't like the way you called the forum("rat's nest"), because this is not another amazon or ebay to buy or sell things. This is a place where people share their knowledge about crypto field even other areas and the majority of the people didn't come here to do the buying and selling, but the learning. I think theymos has so many things to worried about the forum modifications, but not this one (at least at the moment)

Well, I've been here almost 4 years and I can assure you that there ARE plenty of scammers on this forum mainly in the digital goods section.  Any YES, ALL trust should be shown by default whether logged in or not.  It is unfortunate but since this forum pretty much sanctions scamming (by not moderating it even for scammers who have been here for YEARS) there should be some way a poor schmuck who finds these scammers on a Google search can at least have half a chance to see what s/he is getting into by seeing trust without first logging in.

This cockroach low-life scammer for one main example - and there are MANY more like him  (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=4835324.0) has been here over 3 years under dozens documented/confirmed alts scamming with impunity because he knows, unlike many other similar forums, he won't be shut down.  Just look at his trust both trusted and "untrusted".

I fully understand people should do their own "due diligence" and be responsible for their own ways before buying but geez, this guy is so blatant you'd think they would just shut him down or at least make some effort to make his "danger" relatively easy to see.  There are MANY just like him (probably half of them ARE him).

Well i can not deny that there are many scammers in here, and we can not deny the fact that there is no move made by Theymos for this matter, maybe it is already a long time problem. I have said it in my post before, the only thing you can modify to lower the chance to get scammed (for now) is yourself. You need to do your "due dilligence".

In my opinion, even it is a "less dangerous" scenario, without your "due dilligence", you still have a high chance to get scammed. Once again, the key point for this post is, when the system can not provide you safety, then you should make your own safety system.

Got you but i'm talking about visitors who obviously go directly to thread via google. Would be a good idea attach this: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=3035620.0 to every single thread on marketplace.
When i say rat's nest im referring scammers not everyone. There are good sections which make this forum still great  Cheesy so that's not the point.

It takes only minutes to sign up an account so you would see the red trust of all the rats. I guess it would be of help rather you'll be end up being scammed by someone else, it is someone's due diligence not blaming it on the forum.

Just like what The Pharmacist have said, this topic has been discussed before but still, I do really like the idea. It would be much better to show the Trust ratings of every users in every guest and I can't see any disadvantage but the thing is, I think this idea will only be added to those pending ideas that will be implemented soon. There are already a lot of suggestions and ideas that were generated by our fellow members and I don't think so that theymos can apply it as soon as possible. It could take months I guess.

About the scamming side, either the Trust ratings were shown to guest or not, if you won't use your brain then there's no doubt that you'll get scammed over and over again. Sometimes being wise is enough to avoid scammers. Write this down.
