First of all coin are not exchanged in STOCK exchange but in crypto currency exchanges.

In most cases project' s management does not want to go to IDEX or other semi centralized exchanges because they want minimize the risk of price dumping in low volume exchanges thus they apply to bigger exchange and this takes time , effort and money.

Its their fault if they didn't work it out sooner. When a ICO project is run, the marketing team behind the project has the responsibility to contact exchanges and know the steps or even inform them that they wanted their coins to be listed on them. I don't know the specifics maybe they still needed to raised the needed funds to pay them so that their coins be listed. So most of the time after the project is completed, it took months before finally seeing their tokens listed on a trading exchanges.

It can be of that reason, we don't really know the reason of the delay but there are some that can be of legit proportion to its listing to an exchange.
Marketing team must be different from the team who's destined to list the coin into an exchange, applying can also take time so being patient is a must unless it's not listed for almost a month and there's no update about it, something's fishy is happening there.

Definitely, a lot coins are serious about listing in an exchange and if the team is not making any statement about it for sure it will turn to a scam later on. We really have to wait for that moment as a bounty hunter, because that is the only time we make profit.

it is really hard to understand what you mean but it seems like you are talking about "confirmation" of your deposits. different coins need different number of confirmation depending on the security of their chain. it is mostly to prevent double spends and 51% attacks.

If it is a long project and they follow what put it in thier roadmap i experince that also untill now the coins that im being handle here in my wallet is not yet listed to the exchange market because they do first the ico before their  integrated sale and presale of thier token a lot of investor right now are being stock thier token waiting for the project end. And some other factor of that is the airdrop or bounty campaign that you participating in is scam.
