Cryptsy.com stole me 2.31 BTC, withdrawal is stuck (though confirmed via mail).

I did phone my lawyer and I will meet him soon. Anyone had similar problems and unlocked funds peacefully?

I feel like it would be easier to contact Cryptsy about this. Are you sure it's stolen and not just pending?

They're "frozen" or so a guy from the support ticket team wrote. Translations "we're keeping them, we won't give you", stolen is way more accurate than pending.

There are only two reasons we would freeze your funds. If you report you were hacked or.......if you were a part of a hack.

What did the support agent tell you? Obviously that's something you should speak to them or me in a PM about.

Id also caveat your account is frozen 24 from withdraws after a password change.

My english is not perfect, you noticed.. I'll try be as clear as possible.

FIRST: Thanks for clarifying why my funds are frozen. Sorry if i don't understand from your evasive answer if I'm in first case (I'm an hacker or I tried hacking/bugabusing/whateverwrong I did) or if I''ve been hacked/partofbeinghacked/whateverwrong someone did to me. Would you mind answering something like: "1" "2" "1st case" "2nd case", my english is not very good.

He gave an evasive answer when I asked if my funds are locked because you run your exchange on fractional reserve with a link to activate a password for helpdesk (though it's working fine), another time he sent me a security question.

Cryptsy is the best alt coin exchange out there IMO.  They actually have an address and a real picture of their office.  Along with them, MintPal, Vault of Satoshi, and Coinbase are the only ones that I trust.

You're correct but he works for the firm and he is well paid so he wouldn't mind working 10 mins on such a banal problem.
Statistically a letter solve 90+% of our problems. This time may be not different  Smiley

Support just answered will unlock funds in less than an hour from now.  Maybe we solved it faster than I'd have thought..

Unfortunately Cryptsy has a bit of bad reputation, when it comes to lawyers and crypto-currencies they don't really seem to know a great deal about it and the law being such a gray area at the moment for cryptos its hard to successfully resolve these kinds of issues.

Best of luck though, hope you get your BTC back.

Suggestion:  hold your private keys yourself.  Do not give them to third parties you have never met and have no reason to trust.    the end.
