Inactive DT list from long period. Those are not active more than 3 month that I considered not active. But mostly account are inactive from year. I think those are inactive more than years that account should removed from default trust (IMO) leave a feedback instead of removed. Because if in case account get hacked or compromised it will harmful for forum.

Regarding Depth 1, there is 5 inactive from 12 (exclude theymos). Only 7 are active. Look like they will never come back to forum ( not sure). So theymos could consider for increase Depth 1.

Removing them from DT would mean all their trust ratings instantly lose their value, while the large majority of the ratings is valid. The same argument holds for the users they put on DT2.

Right. I got your point. Thanks for remind. So better leave a feedback instead of removed until they come back those are more than years.

I doubt it and i don't see why it would be necessary really.

Trust is something that is earned and something that grows over time. Just adding DT2 members for the sake of it seems rather useless and contra productive.
I'm pretty sure if someone is giving exceptional ratings et al he will be added if it's deemed needed.

Theymos has a lot of trust issues lately so adding new DTs is probably not gonna happen.

I personally don't trust anyone on the forum + I never met anyone from here IRL. I'm willing to risk small amounts with people I have interact before and I know they won't ruin their reputation for a small amounts, but you have to know, many trusted members turned to be " on the dark side"
MagicalTux for example, he was even a Core Developer /if I remember correctly/ everyone knows what happened.
TF was a DT1 member, he had quite good reputation but it turned out that he scammed a lot of people/ lately he is trying to recover with all the reimbursement thing /

So trust is a big issue when money /big money/ are involved. Puting someone in DT with all those fightings in between the old members it's not an easy task.
Seems like almost everyone have a dark side here, it's just a matter of time to be reviled.

Yes it is possible to add new DT members but I don't think that adding DT members due to a lot of them being inactive is necessary at all, they are not merits sources where they give +1 to all the people they have transacted with this could lead to a lot of abuse in the trust system where this DT accounts will be handing out easy positive feedbacks to each transaction. This DT members in order to be one need to be trusted here in the forum and they build that trust with several successful transactions or with how they help the forum by cleaning out spammers and reporting farmed accounts.

You're saying the right thing. It is not necessary to stir up the past, in order not to do bad. To administrative at all got lost in this all. Trust should remain as it is, because indeed it has been earned for years. Now if you break this balance, the dark side will become light. I'm writing an allegory, I hope all understood my writing style ))

If this thread is still going dooglus can be taken off the list. Last active yesterday (26th Sep), last post 17th Sep.

Seems like almost everyone have a dark side here, it's just a matter of time circumstances to be revealed.

FTFY
Good post overall though.

imo either adding DT members or completely changing trust system is inevitable at some point.

I believe more DT are not necessary, as the current active dt members are acting very fast when needed.

There are many recent examples.

On the other hand , most people want to get a green trust rating and become a DT, as the account becomes more valuable.

There are also many examples of new users who were  apparently doing a nice job and were quickly tagged for suspicious activity or worse..

Maybe in local boards , however I doubt many local have an active marketplace.

It's not only about DT's speed, the main concern is DT's (lack of) decentralization.

I would suggest that if you want to get a green trust rating or become DT to make your account more valuable, then you are here for the wrong reasons and will probably end up with red trust.

Thanks for your suggestion, but that's not my intention :p

Oh, I wasn't aiming that at you at all. I was just talking in generalities. Apologies if it sounded like I was accusing you of anything.

I don't think became DT or gain green trust will give you any extra benefits from forum. We can see lately even DT do something wrong then another DT tagging them. DT is prevent scam, I mean reduce scammy activity, usually once we see anyone got red tagged we will not deal with them. Thats the reason why DT are useful. We can see many DT removed due to suspicious activity. So adding new DT and remove them its not big deal. Because no need admin help if you want remove DT2.

I would suggest that if you want to get a green trust rating or become DT to make your account more valuable, then you are here for the wrong reasons and will probably end up with red trust.
Exactly it is happening. Trust could not gain by force, trust will come from activity and there is no shortcut. Whoever will choose shortcut way then eventually he will end up with red trust and its true.
