The 3% that goes to charity comes from the transaction fee, which will be competitive with other leading exchanges. The transaction fee itself will not be 3% -- but 3% of the transaction fee will be donated to charity in a transparent process.

This feature will not increase the total transaction fee.

We have posted a thread in the altcoins announcement section, however according to a sticky in that forum, "Exchanges, shops, gambling sites, etc, should make a thread in the Marketplace section of Alt Currencies." 

I will happily remove this thread if it is in violation of any rules.

For example, KuCoin has a 0.1% trading fee. So, 0.1% of the total transaction amount is taken as a fee, and 3% of that 0.1% fee goes to charity.

So does it mean you do have 0.1% trading fee too? 3% on that fee wont really be that big but you should answer the question below this one.

That announcement board is for altcoins and the Service Announcement(Altcoins) is for website like this.

But I agree with you that this shouldn't be here on Marketplace(Altcoins).

We are still in the process of setting the exact rate for transaction fees. We have to see how much the liquidity providers will charge before we can set our fee rate. But, the trading fee will be competitive with other leading exchanges.
There isn't currently a set charity. We are working out whether the charities will be pre-selected by Bitsmo, whether the users will get to select their own charity to donate to, or whether it will be a community vote.

Just to be clear, the transaction fee rate will not be 3%. Although the exact transaction fee rate has yet to be determined, it will be more on par with leading exchanges like Binance and KuCoin.
A 3% portion of this small transaction fee will be allocated to charity.
