Its going to be impossible to stop the scammers.  People scam in the current system and its been running for hundreds of years. Scammers are going to scam.  It is what it is.

Instead of crying for the government and regulators to come keep you safe take some damn personal responsibility and research the project before you buy into it.  If you get scammed it's on you for being gullible and not doing proper due diligence.  Do not start calling for the government to protect you.  Governments have killed more people than every disease put together over the last few hundred years.  It's called democide.  Why the hell do you guys keep calling them in to help you?  They are more apt to kill you instead.

It's really sad to see some of the Middle East and African forum members calling for these regulators.  They are bombing your people.  Wake the fuck up.

It is really heartbreaking to see that scams have almost taken over the once safe territory that we have here in the cryptocurrency industry, and we have seen quite a number of us suffer from it. It has been said a couple of times that something should be done immediately if there is anything that could be done to control this, But I guess a problem we have is who's going to make this happen.

It used to be safe?
Maybe before the pizza transaction..

It's because their is so much dumb money..
As long as their is dumb money people will be taking it..

Leave the government out of it and accept personal responsibility for the decisions you make..

Could not agree more, I have been involved in over 200 ICO's in the last year and only had 1 that ran away with the money. Doing a little bit of due diligence before you invest can save you a lot of heartbreak later. It really is not that hard. If they say they have a product go check their Github. Go and Check their LinkedIn profiles. If they claim to have been working for a few years and don't have endorsements for skills they are probably fake. Do a few simple checks and you can eliminate 90% of the scammers.

It has become really sad that what you used to be a great adventure for people to earn and an opportunity to promote new and already existing iCos, have become a thing of scam or fraud these days, and it has become almost exhausting trying to find which is, and which isn't. I really do hope that something is done about these scam projects. this is the last thing that we need right now, especially with everything that is going on in the market right now.

For me, ICO airdrops and bounties are scam but some are legit. For me, altcoins are better than tokens "if" you want bounties and airdrops I will recommend altcoin bounties and airdrops. altcoin airdrops gave me a chance to earn more coins and btc.

For me, ICO airdrops and bounties are probably not scammers, but just projects with very little income, but reading the forum I make sure that it is still more like scams, I do not participate in them.

Its true its our responsibility to check first before we ventured into something. But unfortunately nowadays being vigilant only is not enough to combat this so called scammers. They are like artist too or a "Con Artist" that no matter how you do to find the red flag on the Project but still you cant find any flaws. Or everthing seems to be real and legitimate project. the  "Denaro ICO is the good example of timely executed scammed project.

The target audience of government is its citizen (because of election process) and if much of citizens will be scammed then they will elect another government which will promise to protect them. So every government are not interested in growth of quantity of scams.

There is no really specific solutions for theses scams except being skeptic in participating in all of these ICOs/bounties and airdrops. And if unfortunately being victimized in scam you just have to endure and hope to be more careful in the future.

Nothing to be done except if the government come in to investigate and prosecute the person involved and more reason we need regulation on this Crypto sphere.

So this is about the crypto and how government is being devil about it. Yes, off course they are more than curse to the crypto currency and they will be like that all the time as they dont want to have the crypto to overcome the fiat in anytime soon. They know very well that the crypto currency now has become the worlds best decentralised economic space where people are literally going in on their own which means lesser use of the fiat currency. This may not be the big problem at this point but they know, if this use raised to higher level then it will be difficult to handle the situation of crypto overtaking the fiat in the later times. So its always better to keep this environment government free otherwise it will soon become more regulated and thus may become very very difficult in the time to come.
