This news was an old one than the bitcoin cash drama. I still think that there will be a big pump going to happen once the ETF got approved. It's going to be a domino effect or snowball for other institutions to enter in the crypto world.

These institutions have been unfavorable towards Bitcoin for years, now that they have customers who are interested in Bitcoin as a product / financial instrument they are suddenly keen to keep your Bitcoin's 'safe' for you and to levy additional fees or to sell you a derivative i.e. a 'fake' Bitcoin that you don't even own. Are you sure about that ? Cryptocurrency is too volatile to invest and i dont think there is any bank supporting and regulating it.
If Citibank really providing investment option on cryptocurrency, then they must convince their clients to not afraid investing in cryptocurrency.
And yes, it will affect the market of cryptocurrency if there are some banks involved.

We don't need these banks to hold our assets, crypocurrencies are not supposed to be used like conventional banking system.
The involvement of banks in cryptocurrencies is alarming, i suspect that they can destroy the actual purpose of cryptocurrencies and blockchain in future by their regulation policies.

I hope other bank and investment firm will follow and with continuous growth of bitcoin adoption i'm pretty sure others would do the same even stock exchange in other country are offering crypto trading.

It looks like that in a case of BitGo and maybe Goldman itis different from that what Citi wants to do
Danger is that bitcoin can turn fully in to paper bitcoin and be next gold where market is owned by big financial institution
But it can  be not problem for us because we have also alts in our hands

Frankly speaking, the Banks big wings should not be playing behind the scene because the government have tried many ways to infiltrate into the world of cryptocurrency, maybe they have something behind; that's yet to be reveal. We have seen some account be closed from Banks that discovered their client operating under cryptocurrency, the most recent case is that of the Bitpay among others.
