Key Opinion Leader, also known as an "influencer", is a person or organization who has expert product knowledge and influence in a respective field. They are trusted by relevant interest groups and have significant effects on consumer behaviour. Source :
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Key_opinion_leader

So, for the people who do not understand his objective, please read the definition of a KOL.  Roll Eyes So, getting people like this to back your project, you will have to find a way to pitch your project to them. <Difficult>

There are many Bitcoin events, where key "influencers" attend, so you might want to attend these events to get a foot into the door, so that you can pitch your idea.  Wink

Just avoid people like John McAfee, he will do anything for the right amount of money.  Grin

Running ads on facebook and google is blocked. I don't know how to boom my project.

Telegram is not blocked yet. Try growing your own telegram channel or a group.
Fill it with the unique content, invite all the members of your team and your contact list to get the first 100 followers.
Place the link to your channel on different forums, Quora, Reddit, etc.

After your cross 500 users mark, try paid advertising on other channels.

You can find more tips in my article:

Most of the project right now are using either discord or telegram for building up a community and might he should do some giveaways(not airdrop), weekly nor monthly quiz, raffle or task so that it could appealing to the new comers to come and to make the old members to stay. And you should follow some suggestion here since some of them are brilliant like hiring a influencer or maybe grab a famous endorser to label out and maximize your product growth and community.

It's not so easy to build up a good active community.
Thanks for all those tips in this thread, very interested for those who are planning to start a new project.

Before doing any action i have a small tip for you:
Don't buy your community

I completely agree on this, thus, airdrops and everything are nice, but don't forget that your main goal is to get an audience interested in your project, so, my recommendation would be to make sure you got everything well explained and transparent, meet people that might add a greater value to it, then the community will grow by itself.

It's important to balance things out. For instance giving people money for registering on site or downloading the wallet is a waste of time. It will only attract farmers who will make multiple accounts to cheat you out of your coins. Paying people for doing something for you is another thing. For instance paying for translations is one of the most common jobs offered by project leaders and unlike paying for facebook likes or retweets is viewed as positive encouragement.
Running a project is a difficult job. You don't want to throw money away and get a lot of exposure. Hiring experienced managers to run everything for you might be a good idea.

Maybe I didn't explain myself well, but jonathan was pretty accurate about it, I completely agree with him, free offers are more like an extra, but they can't be the main way to bring people in, unless you want to have your community chats filled with questions just as "when distribution?" "when airdrop" but none regarding the project itself, like he said, the balance! .. and also, like every other project/company, you must have specific people for specific tasks, don't try to do everything on yourself, split the tasks and get more time to work  other things out.  Smiley

I think that the project itself is 50% of success. If it's something great and revolutionary it's enough to explain it to people and they will come and throw money your way. There's plenty of gofundme projects that weren't advertised but became huge because people liked them and thought -why didn't I think of it?
The second 50% is mostly transparency. Be honest and build trust. People will like you.

Building a community is not an easy task. You will need to have a real community. First, start messaging your close friends and family. Then tell your friends to help you. Note that your team also needs to be helpful. They can even contact their friends and relatives. Afterwards, the community will start to grow. Make a facebook page, and bit by bit, you will have many followers. As I said, it will not be easy. But at least, it will be worth the try.

Basically, first you will need to disclose your project, and display a sufficiently impressive website so that people can be attracted to your project. That's the core of any community: a magnetic attractor of an idea. If it's workable, your community will build up organically over time through the network effect of the growing interactions.

But, all of this takes time. You seem to be in a hurry, seeing that you are rushing into forming a community without having a core powerful idea that you can express through an elevator pitch here on this thread. Many people take the short cut of buying their community so that everything seems impressive right from the very start, but these things get exposed and eventually fall through in the long run.

So, take your time, and progress methodically, one step at a time, starting with your attractive pitch. That way, you are sure to succeed!

About building communities is it for ICO? the best way for you to build communities first step is you need to create a telegram group facebook and etc. and then you need to hire auto add person , they will add members into your group and also that might hype up your group. after that try to promote airdrop and bounty pay for advertisements on legit site or you can do cross promotion that is really effective. If you want i can help you with your project. I can share you my knowledge if you want too. I've been into different ICO as a PR,Moderator and Support

Hello, I'm having a project and it will launch in the next 2 months. Thus, could you please tell me the way to build communities in global.
I've tried many ways such as bounty, airdrop, conference,....
Running ads on facebook and google is blocked. I don't know how to boom my project.
Do you know some KOLs, please let me know, I'm very appreciate
Our project has various promotions for partners and Kols, or we can discuss about commercial term

Building community would always depend on your project. If your project offers a really good deal to solve something or to make an impact in one's life, I'm sure it will be appreciated by the people you want to attract and to help. For me, Storytelling is one way. You have to spread your cause. Rally people to believe in your project and to help you deliver your mission. It's imp that you know who they are and where can you find them. Sure, you can always offer airdrops, bounty, and other stuff but the thing about building community is about the retention of these people.  So, I suggest that you let your community grow, organically with the people who really support your project not just spending on it. Acquiring members is kinda manageable but I think what you also need to focus on is how to retain them.
