Avaí Futebol Clube began in 1923 when a merchant named Amadeu Horn met
a group of boys playing football in Rua Frei Caneca, in the district Pedra Grande (now
Agronomica), in Florianópolis.
The merchant, in love with football, decided to full the dreams of the boys by presenting
them with a complete set of "suits" as they were called at the time (the uniforms). The ‘suits’
contained blue and white striped tees, shorts and blue socks (along with a football and
cleats). A curiosity that perhaps some fans do not know is that the colours were chosen in
homage to the Rowing Club, Riachuelo.
The boys would test out these new suits in a match against a team called Humaitá, a match
they won. On September 1, 1923, Mr. Amadeu Horn held a meeting at his house, together
with the young athletes, they decided to establish a football club. The name of this new team
would be "Independência" with Mr. Amadeu Horn as its president.

1) You will have direct access to the AVAI TokenStore (merchandise), the AVAI Token Tickets (match tickets) and the AVAI Token Special Experiences (being present at half time talks / dinner with players etc) 2) You will in a way become a supporter of Avai FC football club and try to help them become a regular and hopefully dominant football team in Campeonato Brasileiro Série A. If Avai FC is able to buy new players, upgrade their facilities and as a result become a stable team in the Série A, naturally their match-day revenues (tickets) will increase as will the demand for Avai FC merchandise (shirts etc) + the special AVAI experiences. This is a basic overview of the supply/demand factor within the AVAI token ecosystem. In other words, the more successful Avai FC becomes the more demand there will be for the AVAI token as their fanbase increases. 3) 30% of all AVAI Tokens that will be redeemed/exchanged on the Platform (either through AVAITokenStore, the AVAITokenTickets or the AVAITokenSpecialExperience) will be burn't on a quarterly basis. |

A Brazilian soccer team is looking to raise $20 million by launching its own initial coin offering (ICO). The Avaí Futebol Clube, a Series B soccer team, announced Wednesday that it was generating its own cryptocurrency as part of an effort to develop a digital ecosystem for its fans, help it qualify for the top tier (Series A) of Brazilian soccer and the prestigious Copa Libertadores competition and to build up the team's physical infrastructure. Inside World Football reported that the club will sell 20.46 million tokens at $1 each. The club will hold onto another 1.54 million tokens, or roughly 7 percent of the total tokens being generated.
