They are right in saying so. The fact is that cryptocurrencies are the way that blockchain technology were introduced to the world and that is a good thing, since they are both doing well together, now people are realizing that you can do a lot of things with the blockchain technology without the cryptos and that is the best part about it

blockchain is a technology. a newly developed and now in its very early stages. and there are many different tries on this technology. cryptocurrencies are the currencies that based on this blockchain technology. you can not compare them with eachother.

Basically blockchain technology was not only for cryptocurrency. This is a developing technology that had a lot of potential, the safety and full access of data's had a lot of use not only for crypto. So for me big yes that Blockchain is way bigger than crypto technology and usefulness wise.

Blockchain is the "Technology for Decentralization" and Crypto-Currency is one of its application. Lets remember that Satoshi Nakamoto's purpose when he was created Bitcoin is to eliminate the middleman or the Centralized aspect of the present "Financial Structure" but in reality Blockchain Technology is not fully utilized as of Today. the main reason why Blockchain is famous now because of the Cryptocurrency I believe that in the near future Blockchain Technology will fully utilized and used in real life aspect such as medical and Health,Transportation,Banking and Finance,Education etc. this is the begining of the Decentralized era thanks to Blockchain and Satoshi Nakamoto.
