My account was banned 7 days, now it's more than 7 days but my account is still banned, what should I do? Can anyone help? You should add your banned profile link on original post. If I am not wrong this is your profile link: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=profile;u=1037938 . By the way , if got banned for 7 days, should be remove ban since over 7 days. Only moderators can answer you. Just wait..

There are two types of accounts that are banned. If your account is temporarily banned, then your account can be used again after the specified time. But if the ban is permanent, it means that your account cannot be reopened. And you must create a new account again.

Thank you, Mr. obvious. Just stop telling them to break the rules. If the account can't be "reopened", then the user should leave the forum. 25. Ban evasion (using or creating accounts while one of your accounts is banned) is not allowed.[e]

While you are waiting to get back the access to your accounts, please take your time to read the rules > https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=703657.0as well as the pinned posts /stickies / in those sections you are about to post, because after 7 days ban then next step will be a permaban.

I'll just quote what I've already said a few days ago: If you've participated in multiple on-forum altcoin giveaways, the bans for said offenses can overlap (especially when the number of users getting banned for participating in that particular giveaway is in the hundreds or thousands since the way SMF handles mass bans is somewhat wonky). Looking at the banned account, I suspect that was the case here. The ban should end in 3 days (unless, of course, you get banned for participating in another giveaway).

I see. Thanks for letting me understand mprep. While I was ban too, Ive done some research and the answers Ive got from old discussions are different from one another. Can you link to me the thread containing the related rule? Pretty please? Aside from this https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=3953664.0. Im really confuse because some users said that you get a ban for posting "#authentication_participation" and base on the thread https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=3953664.0, it's only indicated if I participate in a giveaway which is not in the bounties section.

It all falls under the "no altcoin giveaways" rule, as in it's both prohibited to run as well as participate in such giveaways. The original rule is stickied in the Altcoin discussion board and applies forum-wide.

For example on this thread https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=4982011.380. It requires us to post "proof of participation". So anyone replying to that thread will be ban, correct? I just want to make sure to avoid getting ban again.

No. It only applies to what could be classed as a giveaway, either via a clear "post to apply" requirement or via low effort tasks that require very little effort to complete, essentially making them barely different from actual giveaways. See https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=3953664.0 for explanation on the second one. @mprep

Everything is clearly defined in the stickied threads in Bounties (Altcoins). If that's not clear enough for you, to quote Satoshi: <...> If you don't believe me or don't get it, I don't have time to try to convince you, sorry. <...>
(obviously replace convince with explain)
