I have realized that whenever  the value of bitcoin drops in the cypto market almost all the altcoins' values also drop. Bitcoin is and has been the father of all cryptocurrencies but i still do not get the relationship and the rationale for the effects of bitcoin value on altcoins.

Bitcoin has been the father of all cryptocurrencies. A lot of people have been trading the coin in large quantities and altcoin activities tend to fund bitcoin. People use bitcoin to buy or trade altcoin so bitcoin activities, someway some how, also fund altcoin. Because of this effect, a drop in bitcoin will definitely affect altcoin.

Most of the altcoins are traded against Bitcoin or ETH but not all coins. So if bitcoin prices going up then people may start selling their altcoins to buy more bitcoin which can bring altcoin prices down. Even if bitcoin prices going down then people may start selling their altcoins in a panic that market may crash so during this time altcoin may fall even more. Only time altcoins will move up when bitcoin prices are mostly stable or less volatile.

I strongly agree with that! Being the father of cryptocurrency and being paired with alts leads to the volatility of price in the market. Only when BTC is up so does the other alts and may go down as well due to its flactuations.

Predicting the altcoin price is very difficult sometimes when the price of bitcoin weakens, the price of the coin will weaken, even though there is still a stable price of altcoin when all is almost down,

When you are going to trade in exchanges, what you need to buy all of those altcoins that you wish?

Bitcoin trading pairs and that's the relation of it on the market. It has the biggest pairs to all coins though there are some decentralized exchanges that are trading pairs with ETH.

Without BITCOIN there is no altcoins because altcoins depends on the Bitcoin that's the reason anytime Bitcoin decreased in price the price of altcoins also drop and I can say bitcoin is the determinant factor of altcoins.

the relationship between bitcoin and altcoin is the basis for many altcoins. when we are going to buy altcoins, there is a lot of exchange and the market converts its value into bitcoin. this is what makes bitcoin always connected strongly with altcoin

Bitcoin is the basis of all altcoins, and usually investors depend on bitcoin. There is no actual relationship with this coins but its more on the belief of every traders/investors. We have seen many of this in the past and we will still experience this in the future so we better use to live with it and know how can we make money when this two coins are falling.

Bitcoin is the main currency of the market, we see the pair of BTC / USDT decreased, the Alts / USDT decreased in line. It shows that the influence of BTC is very big.

Bitcoin has more speculative opportunities thanks to futures and other exchange-traded instruments.
ETH and other altcoyins are not traded on futures exchanges. The market of crypto-currencies is now run by speculators.
I would not try to find a connection in a speculative market.

I have also thought about this question raised by OP because it is really getting the marketing to be predicted. On my own, I think the reason is because of the technology which is blockchain. All cryptos are a product of blockchain which bitcoin is the leader.

If we have another technology, we can start seeing market and coins running differently and this will be nice because it means an independent market.

yes, indeed what has happened mostly like that, when bitcoin lowers prices, it coincides with falling altcoin prices, but that doesn't mean that altcoin prices all depend on the value of bitcoin prices, because each coin certainly has a different purpose and technology.

There is no comparison between bitcoin and altcoin. Its marketcap is half the value of all altcoin, this is a great achievement. The price recovers fast even when it drops but some altcoins never get back to their stand after such drop.

my opinion, you could go with bitcoin because we don't know altcoins are fake or what, so you better to invest on bitcoin, it truthful coin and it will give more profit for this year so you can invest now.

Bitcoin is a powerful coin. It's a digital gold and altcoins are just alternative coins which bring more options, products, and ideas in the crypto world.
