Hi. I saw this orange warning message in the users profile below:

This user recently woke up from a long period of inactivity.

I have two questions just out of interest:

1 How long does someone have to be inactive for that message to be shown.
2 How long is it shown for.

Apologies if these have been asked and answered before. I did a search but couldn't find anything. Will lock the thread once I get an answer.

The criteria that triggers this message has been outlined in the past. Regularly you can find information regarding a particular topic by just using the Forum Search function. I'm horrible at using the Search function, but I just searched for "This user recently woke up from a long period of inactivity." and it warranted this :

It shows up if a user has logged in with their last login time being at least 6 months ago.

I believe the message remains for 30-days after it has been triggered, but I will have to do a bit more reading/research before I can say definitively.

This is true, it is the same if user change e-mail or password as warning to other users that they should be careful when dealing with such users if account is change owner (sold account), or maybe is just hacked. Before of this warning hacker or new user of account could do a lot of damage to other users before DT members red tag that account.

Don't know how much time the warning is shown if a user changes email but if a user changes its password, the warning shows less than 1 month (I am sure), although I am not sure how much time exactly it shows the warning. I think it's not more than one week.

Are the messages displayed on a user's profile for Password Resets and Password Changes the same message? It says that changes will only display for 3 days, but resets will show for 30. I am wondering if this has since been changed so that both are displayed for 30-days? That thread ends in 2014, so it's been awhile and realistically there may have been updates/changes.

As I mentioned before I am sure that a password change is not displayed 30 days. I have seen such case in local board. It is displayed for 3 days only.

You're considered to have woken up if your last login time is 180+ days ago, and the message remains for 30 days.
