This is not a promo post, I actually don't even like Bitcoin Interest. I'm sick of BTC forks, I believe they're negative overall for the cryptocurrency community. HOWEVER I want to hear your input on Bitcoin Interest BCI, and if you think it is worth anything -- whether that is short term (maybe to showcase progpow?) medium term (?) long term (?)

EDIT live streamed about Bitcoin Interest, here's my 2c on it
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dOfD0GvQE4w

Pasted from YouTube video description
"Bitcoin Interest is a fork of Bitcoin that has implemented a staking mechanism as well as adopted ProgPoW an ASIC-resistant algorithm. Bitcoin Interest (BCI) is also listed on Bitfinex and has over 400,000 likes on their Facebook!

Bitcoin Interest BCI current snapshot on Coinmarketcap (1 Mo. as of post date)

I don't mean to make this post more unbiased however their facebook likes vs engagement / relative project size/age/success make this pretty alarming

For reference here is the VoskCoin facebook page (throw a like on it Cheesy) Posting on average every 3 days for over a year, likes do not even come close to BCI but engagement far surpasses it.

In my brief time mining it, mostly out of curiosity I like it in the aspect that the power draw is not too bad. It's not quite as low as maybe lyra2z but it is not nearly as high as many others like any of the x16s/17 Zwhatevers or ethash. So if this coin actually has a purpose its going to be nice mining for mid to large farms. Right now its low hashrate is good for small miners too.

I hope more coins adopt it but the issue is trying to get help since it appears to be complex for teams and I have no idea if the Ohgoditsacompany is only helping a few 'friends' or actual other teams coins.

Personally I know the Kreds team wants to move to this algo and they have actual working products  like coinhub.news and krediblepolitics.com The first website often has you featured Vosk.

So far though the heats not bad lets see how this goes.

This, I'm interested in the Algo as well, mining it and also set up a BCI pool.  I like their team, super transparent on discord and telegram and really helpful.

I hope it succeeds

I mined about 210 with a batch 1 z9 mini and can't get rid of it at market value because there is no trading volume (can't use bitfinex for US residents) and because the Electrum wallet apparently won't connect to nodes anymore. On top of that I have only been paid 6 out of the 9 weeks I have been staking, plus the dev team is questionable at best... I guess you could say i'm somewhat jaded.

If you have problems with anything, join our discord or telegram. There is almost 24/7 someone from team online who can help you... ...This was about your staking issue.

We got double spend attacked +2 months ago, we asked exchanges to close all withdraws and deposits, we forked week ago (September 7th), exchanges are opening their wallets... ...but as it always is, exchanges aren't fast to do anything...

We listed on stocks.exchange yesterday, yep i know, its a small one. But its something where our community can trade until Bitfinex and HitBTC open wallets again (+ Tradesatoshi).

I’m mining it right now and loving it, great team on discord always there to help, I have never seen such a active dev (pekka L) on a discord channel, reply to everyone even if he’s answered 1000x before, I’m actually back in profit even at $0.18c per kWh, more exchanges opening up to BCI, the exchanges they are already on are sorting the wallets ready for trading after the fork, but my biggest selling point was PROGPOW, it really does level the playing field in mining, this coin is moving with the times an have listened to the miners, if your a gpu miner you should be mining BCI or your just losing out to ASICS

how are you in profit? its only on one exchange and the price is super low there , i cant be profitable to dump at those prices

We should be pretty high on the calculators, and yea, its not that good to dump at these prices... The real price is seen when the bitfinex (and hitbtc) open wallets... We were at 5usd before we closed the wallets... and around 10usd before asic swarm. Markets will decide the price, when there is enough volume.

Im betting stocks.exchange will not have that much volume, but its still something... ...more exchanges the better (imo)

ProgPow is what introduced me to BCI and I am very much interested in supporting developers that are willing to put the effort into implementing that.  I also like that the algorithm is relatively even for AMD and Nvidia GPUs.

First let me say thanks to Vosk for the insightful video.  Although i had been following BCI for some time, even i learned some new things.  @Vosk for the Q&A, when you called out Aaron Mathis, he was still there.  And a shout out to Aaron Mathis for following the stream and also clarifying some points in the comments.

I was happy to see a project move to ProgPOW.  And its not my first experience with BCI, as i was mining with my z9mini prior to the move to ProgPOW.

I was on my ETH OC settings since pools opened up last week.  Today, i tuned by OC settings to optimize for ProgPOW.

Since tuning OC settings i got a 20% increase in my hashrates.  Not bad with a little tinkering.  But the drawback is the power.  At these new hashrates, my power draw increased 35%.  Most of my GPUs were capped between 80 & 100 TDP on ethash.  With ProgPOW, all are 100 or over with my 1080s at 150 TDP.

With these 2 mining rigs, I am back to the power consumption which i was at before shutting down my 3rd rig to save power...

I'll try for a couple days to see the gains but at this power cost, i am thinking to go back to ethash.

...how about getting back to what matters with mining instead of going for YouTube views, fucking sell out!!
...

It seems there is always a Communist in the comment section. Tell me, young Commie-radical, did you ever donate money to Vosk's channel to help cover his expenses? If not, then you are part of the reason he had to resort to more "commercially relevant" topics; those YT videos don't get made for free, you know.

I am running all BCI

http://solo-bci.altpool.pro/workers/iG5mxRMZErtXwReBaEvpYam7PQStwgK5hR

12x 1080ti

4x   amd vega 56

I purchased 68 coins on an exchange

Do I think I will continue  at it?

Yes basically it is one of the few coins actively fighting against  asics.

BCI
BTG
XMR

are all you got.

I purchased some XMR
I will most likely move  my 4x vega 56 to xmr once it forks.

Find it interesting that a person that gave free software (eth pill)  that boosts the  1080ti from 35 to 50 on eth is subject to a lot of attacks on the video.

vosk has some points in his attack on her.  i.e.  she helped her sales for her company.

well her software  turned my 12x 35 = 420 hash to 12 x 50 = 600 hash  or about 5 more 1080ti's with no power cost

So I sold  some 5 other 1080tis  and had about 2600 from that  and I spent about 800 on  acorn gear.

my math shows 2600 - 800 = 1800 gain   So I can support BCI for a bit of time.

My concept for mining is  healthy gpu mining must exist for other types of mining to work.

What happened to mining was bitmain lost its main s7 s9 chip maker to Whatsminer
and bitmain can no longer make the best chips in the world so they attacked  gpu coins  to keep making money.
Then Innosilicon did the same thing attack the gpu algos.

What did most gpu algo devs do they folded and did not fork

and what happened to devs that resisted they were attacked via 51% using nicehash hash and hidden asic hash.

BTG
BCI

suffered a lot on those attacks.
But they forked
and XMR forked

and XMR is forking again.

SO if you want to attack any of those 3 coins  don't  hold off be neutral  and just advise people to be cautious.

My 12 + 4 gpus  down from 100  burn  under 3000 watts  of which 1000 is free for me.  So I am risking  2000 watts say 50 kwatts a day 1500 a month at 19 cents which will drop ro 10 cents in october  so that will be 285 usd for sept and 150 usd for oct and 150 for Nov total of 585 in power

worst case coin is next to worthless end of oct  I lose 585    but go back to what I earned from OhGodaGirl's free software 1800  so

1800 - 600 = 1200 ahead.

Another option is dump all the miners maybe I should  but I dumped a lot of miners in Jan and FEB  so I did really well then.  I will play with BCI for now.

Not even close. In fact, I think this video - like pretty much all live streams - is unwatchable.

Well, seems like we need to comment here because you dont have the stomach to answer us on youtube.. You just delete our comments...

I would REALLY love to hear how our "scam" would work? How we could steal our communitys coins even if we wanted? Our staking is DECENTRALIZED, staking is done from your OWN wallet, nothing is sent to our staking platform... Im totally open to critisism, like the one you gave on FB, totally right and deserved.... Rest is just FUD, wrong info and badly done research.

"I’ve been asked about this project a lot, here’s my take on it."...
Is that how you treat you community? When they ask you do dig on something, best you can do is like comparing stock images on webpages? Come on, doesn't your 68k followers deserve real facts, real info, not just FUD you throw out of your head?... i KNOW you asked info about us from atleast 2 different people before doing this stream, you used like nothing they gave you 😄

Some facts that YOU KNEW but didnt point out, does it get more views when you basically lie (not use the info you have) to your followers?:

1. Our staking is done Decentralized, nothing like BCC or other scams that required you to send coins to them, our staking is done from your OWN wallet.
2. All interest comes from mining, blocksize is 13.5, 3.24 goes to staking pools, 10,26 goes to miners
3. Our trading volume is down because bitfinex, tradesatoshi and hitbtc wallets have been closed for +2 months. We asked them to close them when we got double spend attacked, we forked on Sept 7th and they are all supporting our fork and opening the wallets... Exchanges just are slow like always. stocks.exchange we got 2 days ago because we wanted to give some place to trade to our community. Yea its small and most likely wont get like any volume but atleast we tried.

If anyone wants any REAL info or have questions they want answers, join our discord or telegram and you will get them. We are 100% transparent, everything we tell is super easy to confirm

I said this on the main BCI thread, but oh my word was this one of the worst videos ever made. How does this guy have 68k followers? He lied so much in this video that its almost hard to watch. This guy is either one hell of a sellout and someone paid him to give a bad review, or he is just lazy and his content reflects this. None the less, garbage content from a garbage creator. I've watched many if his videos and this is how I feel now about him. Unsubscribed.

Yeah its was a total hit peice badly done research , I don’t even know where to start
with all the missinformation you spewed @voskcoin.  If thats the level of reseach you do Its no wonder all your shilled projects *cough* Loki , Aion etc have been trash ... so far at least.

You refused to post thier comments or rebuttals to the nonsensical assumptions you were making , totally unprofessional imo.

You would have been better off sticking to progpow discussions and even on that you did a poor job of really explaining how it differs from run of the mill algos.

Seems to me you just rushed out a video because you wanted to talk prog pow, you should have dug deeper on that and just stuck to that since your coin reseach was absurd.

You did point out some good things aboit the basic white paper , facebook etc but that was about the only correct thing you said.

Really poor work.

updated w/ my latest livestream on the subject

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dOfD0GvQE4w

I hadca whole bunch of other miners and friends calling me about this video, so much missionformation, I had to spend hours on the phone setting them straight, you need to not edit this but delete it and go back to the drawing board.

One of the worst videos I have ever seen from even a basic reseach and analysis point of view.

stick to shilling asic reviews and overpriced hardware bro
