You have reached Full Membership already, for sure you know that there are a lot of people shilling and spreading FUD. Usually though they keep quiet when bitcoin is on a rise, however, we are in a bearish trend for almost a year now so the barrage of anti-bitcoin sentiments and FUD won't stop. Glad that the network spammers has stop, but those people trying to put down bitcoin? Nah, they will continue to do so until they are satisfied. Its either they wanted to bring it down so that they can buy cheap bitcoins (who doesn't like cheap and bargain?) or they really hate bitcoins because they invested on other coins. So yes, we need to be careful and filter out and read between the lines. The best weapons against them is to DYOR.

This is normal as many people will take advantage on the weakness of a newbie investors. Besides, we have no rules against them and everyone has the right to express there opinions and predictions in this speculative technology. It's up to us if we will listen to them or make our own research and decide at our own risk. It's our money at stakes, we should be responsible on our decisions not to lose it due to FUD. Knowledge is power.

dis information can flow both ways. the utopians can provide as much dis-information as the critics

you will find alot of people trying to shut critics up because the utopians want to over promise and under deliver the benefits of bitcoin purely to scramble in as many people as they can so the new people can buy what the utopians are selling

some of the critics are actually long term holders that see too many naive people enter being told utopian dreams of riches and its best to give them the hard truths so that they know what they are actually getting..

but with that said on both sides. there is also the complete obsurd fake news stuff.

so when you do read something. dont just search out if its being repeated by multiple places or certain groups to decide if its valid. look for the source, the bases of whats being said. do proper research if its something that may interest/affect you.

look for the code, look for the statistics and look for the source. dont just take peoples word for it

someone who is not interested in bitcoin is not even going to bother talking about it. for example are you going to an altcoin forum that you don't even know the name of and constantly make topics about it? of course not. usually those who spread nonsense about bitcoin are getting desperate to buy it cheaper, sometimes they have some shorts open which are failing because of some rise so they start spreading FUD in hopes that they don't lose much.
