Will blockchain technology be abused?

We are witnessing incredible turmoil on the world stage, both political and financial.
It is obvious that the current financial system has come to its end when it is counter-averse to itself.
The emergence of blockchain technology has opened up new opportunities and created the hope that there is a chance for a more equitable distribution of value and capital.
However, we see that even in the crypto world, there are equally manipulations and speculations, as well as in traditional stock exchange operations.
There is one aspect that overcomes everything.
The unprecedented abilities of blockchain technology to store transaction-related information can be used as a model for the storage of all personal data and is thus used by the state and its agencies, which will control the individual at Orwellian level.
Can someone add some optimistic thoughts?
