Can We Have A Thread Dedicated For Newbie Account Review for Merits?

The Recent Decision by the admins to demote all Jr Member account without Merit I think is a good idea but I think more time should be dedicated to review account of most of the newbies members, there some people who their post merited some merits but it was not awarded.
So I thinking if it possible to created a thread or a section where newbies who feels that their account merited some merits can submit it for a quick review by the admins, I think this will help to spread the merit across to some deserving members.

then, there will also be other newbies to submit a quick review. finally "quick review" became "long and boring review"

There is no need for that. Deserving members would eventually get there if they keep visiting the threads they should and avoid posting only in SMTs (Spam Mega Threads) which would never ever get anyone a single Merit even if they keep posting so many decent posts in there. If people think they cannot keep up with the quality required to rank up, then they simply don't deserve to rank up at all. But if they can make up their minds to dedicate some of their time into their posting routine, they won't really need any reviews to their profiles in order to get Merits and rank up.

Remember; the changes have only restricted the signature wearing ability of Newbies, not the posting. So constructiveness can still take them out of that well and show them the dawn if only they can do it.

Merit system helps those who help themselves.  

I know, the original saying is "God helps those who help themselves", but it just felt right to say it like that here

Why newbies should have a fast way to get a point? None of us has ever had it before. Keep posting good things and someone will notice you.

There was some Merit giveaway threads started by Merit sources and other users. If these threads are still active, Newbies can apply there for a review.
Admins and mods wont review it, they have more important things to do. And FYI, Merit, same like trust system are left to community and it's not moderated.
And as I said on other thread - I think that genuine Newbies will not face difficulties to get Merit, I don't think that review threads are needed. Now theymos added more Merit sources, sk I think it will be a bit easier to get Merit.

I had earlier a service called One (1) Merit point to Rank-up I may reconsider opening again. Now the title fits perfectly to the current situation .
The rules were quite strict,now I have to rethink my strategy as the newbies have to have some post history, before it was easy to spot the bounty spammers.

Thanks for your consideration, I think the thread is needed at this time, it's heartbreaking when bounty manager tells you that all your stakes which you worked for months would be cancelled if you didn't rank up.

Do merit awarders still read these threads?

The Fit to Talk English translation project is still running, and that has a guaranteed 5 merit minimum award. Maybe I should increase that to 10. You have to work to start a well written interesting thread though if you want the award.

I've just set up an image hosting site, and that might make things a bit easier for non-English speakers.

Don't hold your breath for the mods/admin to commit themselves to go through every submitter's post history and evaluate quality. The entire system was designed in a way that community itself (not the mods) rewards quality posters.

We've already had many non-staff-member-started threads where you could submit links to your worthy posts and ask for merit. See this for reference: List of Threads Giving Away Merits - Updated 12 march 2018

Funny enough, many (if not most) of such initiatives closed or got temporarily locked due to lack of interest. That says a lot.

It's because of the bounty things pal. That's why they're on an urgent call of demand in Merits

And yeah... you're 90% correct on that, actually here in my account Merit visits me quite a few times but I don't intend to cry on that as long I'm earning it on a right then it should be fine then. And I think these Juniors should be like me hahaha

This is now another challenge to a newbie like me as we are doing our best to be knowledgeable in this technology and a single merit is hard to get just to add another step in our journey. I respect this new system and for sure this might be the best weapon to minimize spammers.

Regarding the change, I really feel for some of the Bounty Managers, there will be tonnes of PMs and confused participants, not only but for weeks to come.

It will be a pleasure if you re open it again. To be honest many low members are not given merits even their posts are qualified to get some.
