In World of Ether your player gains levels from winning battles- and as player level increases he/she is able to breed stronger and more rare monsters!

So the higher your level in Beta, the better chance you have of being first to discover the monsters with the highest eth rewards

However, since presale eggs were selling at $600 each when the price of ETH was high, it's possible this will affect the price of monsters on the marketplace.

You hatch your eggs into monsters which are battled, bred, and sold for real ETH!

When you win a battle, your player level increases, and higher level players can hatch and breed rarer and more powerful monsters which can be sold for more ETH.

Also if you are the first to discover one of the total 200 monster species, you are credited publicly as being the one to discover that species, and this along with many other things are stored on the blockchain. If this is during Beta you also get an ETH reward bounty for discovering the monster.

If you're worried about the developers owning the assets that you pay for, this is impossible, as the game is decentralized and everything you own, you actually own as it's recorded on the Ethereum blockchain and attributed to your wallet address.

World of Ether is doing a Ready Player One type bounty where they give $10,000 in ETH rewards to players who are first to hatch monster species in their Beta.

The Beta is a free (uses Rinkeby Test Net ETH) and in it you breed monsters to get more, battle to increase level which increases the chance of breeding rarer monsters, and sell or buy monsters on the marketplace.

There are 40 SPECIES of monster to discover in Beta.

Yeah! The best way to get strong monsters though is to breed them from scratch when you are a high level.
