Why is Dapps still not getting the attention it deserves?

I recently saw this video by Jackson Palmer on his Youtube channel explaining in brief his current sentiment about Dapps.

A big question that we are still yet to answer. Are we ready to move to "Dapps"?
Well, in terms of the tech we definitely have that and developers are always increasing in numbers.
But the general perception about Dapps seem to be a bit daunting for a simple user.

The hurdle that we are seeing is still in the term of mass adoption.
Even the existing Dapps on the Ethereum blockchain just hits a thousand users at a certain time.
Comparing this to centralized ones shows that this number is quite minuscule.

Still a long way to go before we see more people flocking in.
Surely it is a challenge that the entire cryptospace has to face.
