Interesting stuff. But I'm skeptical of the James gang connection. Being from Missouri I can tell you that every antique found in the state claims a connection to Jesse and Frank. Even in my own family there is a story/legend of my great grandmother dating Frank. (makes me wonder about her. Maybe she was a hooker or something?)  Lips sealed
