So I was thinking we should have a separate thread for Merit begging. It clearly states in the official FAQ thread that it's frowned upon and now with the new requirement, I think we should enforce it otherwise we'll end up having idiots begging for merit everywhere.
If users think this thread is overkill, let me know and I'll close it. This is just my opinion given the current state of the forum.

Can I ask for merit?
There is no need to do this and this behaviour is usually seen as 'merit begging' which is frowned upon by the community and may lead to you receiving negative feedback. Keep making quality, constructive posts and you will surely be rewarded over time.
So, I'll start this thread off, others feel free to chip in as I'll occasionally post here when I have something new and
it will be much more efficient if more members contribute.
So a user is begging for merit in the service section. He has
160 Activity, 0 Merit and this is his
first post outside Bounty threads. Someone please tag him, this is literally the definition of a parasite. His only goal is working for shitcoins, nothing else.
